I also have had some really good news. My brother named me as his beneficiary for a death in service benefit as he was unmarried with no kids etc. I got an email yesterday telling me the amount and that I would receive it in the next week. I won!!!8217;t say how much it is but it will make a massive difference to me and will mean I can clear all my debts including my mortgage. I am totally gobsmacked and so grateful to my brother but obviously it is bittersweet as I would much rather have him back.

He also had a couple of pensions which should pay out significant lump sums to my parents. For someone who was never very good with money himself and often in debt he has certainly looked after his family.

Oh Shariann! Mixed feelings I imagine and of course you'd give every penny back if it made a difference but I'm pleased that out of this dark time there is some brightness coming xxxx

I have finally made a sale on Schpock...there's a lot of tooing and froing on that site!

Another £37.47 to add to my total, which brings me to £211.81/£310. I've never come so close to my target before!

Thinking of you Shariann I don't really know what else to say. xx
  • Awww Shariann - What a beautiful show of love from your brother naming you as his beneficiary :heart2:

No earning to report, but I have just collected a massive tub of blackberries from along the driveway which I will freeze and turn into yummy crumbles at a later date. Surely that's worth a tenner in everyone's book
