Advice on where to save 1,000 per month 20th Mar 17 at 6:22 PM
    Hi,

Can anyone advise on the best place/way to save 1k per month please?

After making an initial deposit of 1200 into a HTB ISA, I will be saving a further 200 per month into it.

I want to know where is the best place to save the remaining balance of 800.
I bank with Halifax, and I am on a mission to save a deposit to buy my own place.
    Any advice greatly received.

    Thank you.

Nationwide 5% regular saver - 500 per month
First Direct 5% regular saver - 300 per month
HSBC 5% regular saver - up to 250 per month

...presuming you are at least a year away from buying.

Maybe go all in with Nationwide?...500 in the regular saver and 300 in the FlexDirect*. There isn't room** for all of it, but by the time you reach that point (10 months away) you can see what else is available.

Nice and easy with one institution?

    * T&Cs apply, most notably 1K monthly funding.
** Unless there are two of you, in which case there is room.
