    Balance transfer question

Balance transfer question 18th Mar 17 at 7:47 AM
Calling all people who have done balance transfers!

If Jane pays off a chunk of Bob's credit card debt by doing a balance transfer to her card, how does that show up on Bob's card statements? Can he see who has paid it off, or is it anonymous?

Would be great if a few of you could take a look at your statements and see what it says. If you could also let me know what type of card you transferred from, that would help, as I guess they may differ.

    Thanks!

It comes in as either Faster Payment or Payment received, not other details on my cards statement but some may be more detailed

Also check the T&Cs some/most cards I believe only allow you to pay off cards in your own name, so this may not be possible with some providers.

It should just show as a payment received.
If you could elaborate on your specific concern maybe somebody will be able to offer more guidance.
