Bank account switch

Options
Dear Forumteam

On the 27th Feb. 2018 I did a on line bank account switch to the HSBC and incorrectly input data regards income. It was declined but they said I could have an ordinary account which I did not want. I rang yesterday to ask why it was declined and they could not confirm and said I could try again in 3 to 6 months and the woman also said to check my credit score?

I have just checked my credit score now using the MSE and it is good at 99%. I think I was not accurate and consistent when entering my income details...

I do not really want to wait another 3+ months to try again and want to see if I can try and switch to the FirstDirect instead using your link on MSE.

I have never been declined anything before. Do you think I should try and switch now to the FirstDirect using your link and be careful to be consistent when putting in the income figures or do you think there is more to it and I should not do anything for a while (3Months?).

Please can you help.

Regards
N'am

5% AER ongoing regular saver for me, one of several.

Not the best I agree, but as I only log in once per month I put up with it.

As YorkshireBoy says, the 5% regular saver is the primary attraction.

Internet banking may be poor, but as I don't use it for any real day to day baking it is a small burden to bear once a month.

Quite right. We use an oven for our day to day baking. :rotfl:

    - Preferential rate and fee on the mortgage which is already market-leading in the interest rate.
    - 5% on Regular saver account like other posters have said.

You pay nothing so why not have both of them like some people here. Another £3 on each account per month.
