Quit Sky in October while on 60% discount (I still had 4 months left) due to billing errors and being overcharged.

During the 31 days notice period, I was offered 30% discount.

After switch off, discount increased to 40%.

By December, 50% discount offered by mail which expired 1st Feb.

Now back to 40% discount offer via mailshot.

Three months now without Sky and guess what?

    I'm absolutely fine :)

I received an email last night (service ended last week) which may help someone. I am not looking to go back as I had 75% off and a £100 account credit last year which will be hard to beat this year as it was £14.40 for Box Sets package, HD plus Cinema (before taking off the account credit :)).

That link won't work for anyone else I don't think (I could be wrong).

I don't get their pricing though, for new customers it's £20 (save £5) which goes up to £25 after 18 months.

It should do as I don’t think it is unique - it just directs you to the winback team chat.

They simply don't get it do they?

Clicking on the supplied link gives a different 0844 number which is charged at 7ppm so not a free number but probably not ruinous:-

Calls to Sky cost 7ppm plus your provider's access charge. Call charges from other providers may vary.

Sorry, I don’t know - I have only ever used online chat, I never phoned them. I am sure there will be a cheaper way of calling if that is preferred.

I am on the Sky Box Sets and Cinema bundle. Last year I wangled a 60% discount for 12 months. That expired in Jan. Contacted them today to cancel and got a 50% discount on my current package for 18 months.

I was told that the 60% discount was a once in a lifetime offer during the life of an account. Don't know how true that is, but I am happy with the 50% discount for 18 months.

Since I am no longer paying for Sky Go Extra (as a sky VIP member this is free), I am actually paying only 0.60 pence more per month and over a longer period.

I am more than happy with that.
