Switch to fix now or wait?

I'm currently on a 12 month fix with Avro Energy which expires at the end of June. There are no exit penalties for me to switch.
I currently pay £76 a month for dual fuel.

The MSE energy club shows a best deal of £87 a month available now.

Obviously my current deal is much better, but I'm reading the reports of prices going up by 10% soon and am thinking should I switch before then rather than when my current deal ends?

See the forum see the web see the news .
See how many are putting up prices .

The £87 is just an estimate compare the unit prices and S/C before deciding .

The £87 a month is based on my actual usage figures.

So switching now will cost me an extra £132 a year.
I still have 4 months of my current fix remaining.
  • Hi,
I work in the industry and it's looking likely that prices may come down from Oct 2019 (wholesale prices have dropped off). It might be worth moving onto the lowest variable you can find and keeping an eye on prices through August /September and maybe fixing then.
