What's the range for bluetooth earphones ?

I like to listen to podcasts while at my allotment.

Having used normal wired earphones to date, I thought about getting some Bluetooth ones.

I am thinking I could leave the phone in my shed and listen to it without any wires.

Not only better, but no risk of damage to the phone.

BUT ! What range do earphones have?

I think i would need about 30m

Most Bluetooth headphones are class 2 with a range of 10m.

If your phone supports Bluetooth 5.0 paired with Bluetooth 5 earbuds then the range will be far superior to the old Bluetooth 4.2.

It's not only about headphones.
I have a bluetooth speaker connected to my PC and the connection was very unstable for less than 5 meters with no walls. And it was a PC board with antenna, not just a dongle.

Connection improved after I replaced my WiFi+BT board.

I've got bluetooth headphones and the signal drops out if my phone is on the other side of my body. Bluetooth range is atrocious

There are so many variables - the version of Bluetooth your devices are, the devices themselves, enviroment you're in, etc. In any case, I don't think you'll have a good experience at 30m

Me it would be try a decent pair from Amazon .

Not work as expected return for refund .
