Official Trying to Conceive - Thread 13

CD1 for me.

It's my birthday tomorrow, and while it sucks that I'll have AF for the 3rd birthday in a row, I'm excited because I'll be taking my first lot of Clomid.

I'm realistic about the likelihood of it not happening for us straightaway, but I'm still hopeful that it's a good sign I'll be starting it then- keeping my fingers crossed for the best gift ever

I think I'm now 4 dpo I didnt use sticks this month so its a guess im usually around day 14. I am feeling so nauseous today which is very unlike me.. though doubt 4po is going to give me any symptoms but hard to swtich my brain off thinking such things!! I'm off to Slimming world tonight, eek.

Just got back from a weekend away visiting hubby's family. Mostly nice and relaxing and we did treat ourselves to one night in a spa hotel which was really lovely. Had a bit of an awkward time with hubby's sisters who were questioning us about when we were going to have children but we just sort of shrugged it off with "it'll happen when it happens". Welcome TomaTomaH, I am sorry to hear that you can't carry a baby, that must be really difficult. I'm afraid I have absolutely no knowledge about surrogacy myself but I do wish you well on your journey.

Hi Chelle! Thank you so much for your support. It really means a lot for me. This is hard times for us. But the most important is I'm healthy now. I'll definitely fight for my happiness.

Reading about your weekend I had so many flashbacks of people asking me why we don't have kids. Some people don't know I had cancer. And I'm not that type of person who would tell about it to everyone I meet. But anyway this is kind of rude to ask such things... After all those questions I feel mad and sad... I wish some people think more about other's feelings.

Sorry to hear you are out this month Munchkin. Glad you have the wedding to focus on, that's exciting about your dress! I've had my 21 day bloods, I think they just check hormone levels are right for that point, including prolactin levels which can inhibit ovulation. I guess ideally you should have ovulated by then and they should be able to tell that. I also asked for my thyroid to be checked at the same time.

TomaTomaH it is so difficult with other people, as you don't want to tell everybody about everything especially if it is sad news. Must be even harder for you with the cancer also. I must admit though before we started trying I had no idea how common this is and how difficult it can be to conceive, so I do expect the questions from hubby's family who we have chosen not to share this all with. You spend your whole life up to that point being told how not to get pregnant, but not how to when things don't go to plan!
