I'm still here, I'm just doing more lurking than posting I find fewer threads to join these days, some seem to be data-mining, some are very cliquey, and I just don't have the energy for DT.

Duncan, if it's any consolation, we haven't taken Butterbean on a plane yet either. Public transport isn't all it's cracked up to be.

The bus will be handy for 'one-way' walks and save having to take the car and do 'circular' walks all the time.

    Good morning irregular regulars.

I generally have to do circular walks which are infinitely better than treadmill walks.

I do occasionally get my Lovely Cousin to drop me somewhere so I can either walk home or be picked up at a different location.
Alas my health and that of my Lovely has deteriorated such that I cannot see us flying anywhere again. The cost of travel inn-sewer-ants now greatly exceeds the cost of the holiday itself.

So, it's adventures by train and bus or car for us now.

Last time dad travelled abroad he left a couple of conditions off his insurance application and got it for less than half the price. He had all his meds with him and they were both well under control so he felt that little would change while away for a week or so. He really just wanted to be covered for accidents/falls and the like.

Happy Friday evening Arms people (Well, for those of us not yet retired, Friday has significance ...) Glad that week is over, it was not one of the best at work.

Always look up when you are around and about. There is so much to see above 'phone level, even in urban aerials.

I had an adventure by bus this morning. I am happy to say my bus pass worked without a hitch.

This avo I drove over to Cheese-Town to get some precipitated chalk, reducing the acidity of my home made cyder for the use of. I then stopped by the side of the road and made a sneaky mould of a GR 5 post box cypher. I'm going to make a dummy post box to stick on my garage wall and use it to hide a security camera in the middle.

I hope all the armsters are fit and well.

Dad had me on a bus yesterday as well but it was static and the driver would not start the engine so we still have a bit to go, it was good to sniff all the different smells though
