    One must apologise for this excess of frivol, sadly I found a rather large pack of it when I was freezer diving for supper last night and you know how it is....Once it's defrosted you have to use it up quickly!!!

    Just sitting here musing - if we had a VERY LARGE hamster, we could make one of those large ball things (like you see at holiday camps on the lake - a big plastic bubble that you 'walk on water' in), with a ball of wool as a template. We could add him to our weaponry stash and roll him up and down the country squashing then enemy in his tracks....
    (Do I need to get out more?)

    Edited to add: if we made it waterproof, it could visit Monna too!

    Wow LILLIBET a 'Zorbing Giant Hampster' what vision, what inventiveness, what an image that conjours up, scarier than a Scud Missile at speed.....They had some of those waterproof ones at Gun Wharf Quays last summer and were using one of the dock basins for people to play at walking on water.....Oh YES BRING IT ON!!!

    Total confusion here. Do I understand that the elephant is no longer in mar's freezer and providing her and the RV with tasty meals, about which which she is in denial, and has morphed into a hamster/Dalmation puppy/a giant waterproof ball that walks on water? And Mar has replaced him/her/it in her freezer with a lawyer?
    And the whole caboodle is going to be magicked into a gigantic ball which will roll up and down the countryside squashing all in its route to smithereens.

    ALERT THE PREPPERS!

    Tell them to get out their water wings and take to the seven seas. They needn't bother trying to climb aboard the Isle of Wight, it is already sinking under the weight of refugees fleeing from the lunatic fringe on the mainland. One foot placed on my hallowed shores and they will be savaged by the hefferlump/hamster/Dalmation puppy that I keep chained up in my Wendy house.

    On a more serious note, FBO, no-one can enter your house without your permission. Should your ex-boss turn up just lock yourself in and, if necessary, call the police to have him removed. You should not have to live your life in fear.

    Just got appointment letter to see the eye specialist about getting my cataracts done. My optician said she'd been told the waiting list was about 6 months so I was expecting November or December, but it's next March :(

    I'm meant to ring them to confirm, but I can't do it today or I'll probably cry on the phone. I was going to make do with the varifocals I've got but I don't think I can manage with these for that length of time. I wouldn't mind but the lenses alone cost about £600 because of my prescription.
