    Hi all!

    Well, even though January isn't over yet, i've already failed the challenge miserably... i stopped counting when i got to £70 :o I think it must be close to £120 by the time January's over :eek:

    Soooo... roll on my february challenge! It's exactly a 4-week month, so i think i *should* be able to do it for £150

    My month runs from 1st to the 28th. It includes all food, toiletries, cleaning products, washing powder etc etc... for 2 adults and 2 children, aged 3 and (almost) 10. Also includes feeding 8 chickens and 1 labrador, and occasionally chipping in for goat food and straw.

    The only things it doesn't include are petrol and bills.

    I might post some of my budget recipes on here this month, along with some pics :)

    Hi, I have done the GC myself a few times but would like to join officially this month please.

    For myself DS1 (5) and DS2 (10) I managed £110 in January but would like to try for £100 in feb please, starting from 1st to 28th feb.

    Thought I might as well come here sooner rather than later. We are still annual, but withdrawing cash weekly, so not sure which month I should be on lol. Here seems nice though ;).

When I lived south I always went to MrS for quality, when I was a bit more flush so to speak (and only feeding me not a greedy DS and DH!), but I presume they are keeping up with the basics ranges etc. now too.
    Regarding the meat issue, we are still sticking with local butchers and it is going ok so far.
    Jamie Oliver is on C4 this week (Thurs 29th, 9pm) talking about pig welfare, in Jamie saves our bacon. Might well be worth a viewing for anyone interested in these things!

    Having made a complete pigs ear of january :rolleyes: (and I haven't finished yet!) I'm going to give myself a stern talking to and stick to budget this month.

    Now have DD at home all day...eating, sleeping and watching telly as she lost her job, so restricting her to carrot sticks for nibbles. Why she remains so thin I'll never know.

    The cupboards and freezer are full, so hope to come under budget. In fact I'm going to be harder on myself and knock £20 off my usual £300.

    Hi all, managed to do the Grocery challenge in November but over December and January me and the OH were doing some travelling so it was too hectic to keep track! :p Now I'm determined to keep an eye on our spending, can I be put down for £100 this month please, thanks! :D

    I'd like to join this month please. I haven't don't it since last Sept I think, morning sickness put an end to it for a while but I'm back :D. Baby isn't due until end of April and I'm catering for myself, OH and 3yo DD. I have probably 14 home cooked evening meals in the freezer and I'm hoping I'll be increasing this over the weeks with meals I'm making in my lovely new slow cooker :D.
