Admiral home insurance complaint

Hi, hoping for some advice at the end of my tether and sanity!
Hoping someone can help.In july I had storm damage and claimed from Admiral. Their loss adjusters Cunningham Lindsey said the rain wasn't heavy enough and gave me a figure that they would expect it to meet. The Met office confirmed the rain exceeded this but I was made to go through the Met Office claim checker and eventually Admiral agreed to approve the claim. I said I wanted to use Admiral's contractors thinking it would be very straight forward (as much stress with a mentally ill daughter), however it was the end of November before they sent a contractor to look. Feb 18th they started saying one week work as it was internal work to the room affected (gutter and flat roof had been repaired and paid for by me)>As the gutter gave way and was the cause I think they should still pay for the flat roof. Is this right?
Rather than 1 week the work is still ongoing 5 weeks later, as the contractors have caused damage to the floor, hearth but they moved furniture into other rooms so we can't use the living room (no furniture) and the family room as we can't get to the tv and its chaos. The contractor and their sub contractor are arguing and meanwhile I'm stuck with chaos. How can I speed up the process . I would like other contractors - do I have a right to ask this? they sanded the floor but didn't buff it so its very rough which they admit and the piano movers have caused damage. The contractor admitted it wasn't acceptable but suggested hand sanding round the piano despite the piano not necessariy staying there and one coat of varnish whereas the recommendation is primer and 2 coats. It hasn't inspired confidence. The slate hearth has also been chipped and they've suggested using some sort of magic marker to repair?
I'm worried it will go on for weeks longer and the quality will be poor. I suffer from a stress related condition and they seem to have no understanding of the impact.
Many thanks for any advice

Do you have a case manager at admiral?
    Have you discussed with them?

If not I’d be taking photos, keeping records of dates and puttting forward a formal complaint.
Do you have anyone that could help you with this?

Thanks for coming back to me. Unfortunately although a case handler was appointed on the 8th March she hasn't been in touch. I've been sending emails and photographs but they take so long to do everything and now delaying the independent surveyor until the 2 contractors who are arguing can attend. I've just had a specialist timber firm to look at the floor and they've advised a light buff rather than major sanding would have been enough and they'd buff and then put 2 pack system to cope with piano and heavy furniture. Piano movers employed by contractors caused more damage.

I hadn't thought of using Resolver and don't know if I can do this if I've already complained?

Can i expect some compensation for the 5 + weeks of chaos and not being able to use rooms in my house?

    thanks
