Great NSD total! Well done :)

I can't peg out but at this time of year we always use the racks..we have 3 on almost permanent rotation...as we have said before Alice, we know how to live :rotfl:

Thanks brizzle, Trying hard with the NSDs.

I haven't pegged out this week.........don't fancy fetching my new undies from up the road.:rotfl:;)

Well done on scraping the money together for the car Alice. Our pots are now totally bled dry after our escapades of last year, then other expenses we weren't anticipating. I find it so scary having no fallback money, but I am slowly getting it together again, I now have £50 ! :D

I think DFWs Living on a hill plan is a grand idea. I though, live on a flood plain and have a west facing garden, completely over shadowed by next doors garage and a very boggy garden. There is absolutely no chance of our washing drying or if it did it would take a week. The airers are my current new best friend .

Glad you treated yourself to the undies and hair serum by the way ! A girl needs to spoil herself sometimes xx

Hi Mrs PG, have caught up with your diary, you're doing great. Our journey to becoming debt free is a long hard slog but we'll get there. I need to get our pots back on track too.

New undies and hair serum.......that's how I roll :rotfl:

  • Today was NSD7 :)

Received £4.50 club card points from T3sc0 (card linked to E0n account).

Had a statement from Bcard, my account balance is now £7421, paying £110 per month.

Desperately need to put petrol in the car, might have to get some from the 'not so cheap' petrol station on the way to work in the morning.

Need to work out how we are going to pay for school trip, finish work on the car and tax both cars at the end of the month. So many things to do, just got to make the time to do them!!:o:)

  • I've not pegged out today brizzle, getting withdrawal symptoms! :o:D have only done 2 loads today, currently on airers. Saving the other 3 loads until tomorrow when it's supposed to be a lot calmer...and dry.

After the strong winds last night I expect to find some damage this morning, but thankfully all OK? Really feel for all those folk flooded out of their homes.

Had a spendy morning. Spent £13 in £shop, £42 sburys, £12 at the butchers and £23 @ld1, to be honest we did have some bits left but I just have to have to the fridge/cupboards well stocked. :o embarrassing and shameful really.

Have done meter readings, used £49 over the last 2 weeks, OH has insisted on having the heating on since we got back earlier. He's got 4 layers of clothing on and still moaning he's cold.......mind you I have turned the thermostat down a bit.;)

Talking of OH he's doing ok but still has 'down' times. Everything seems so much effort for him, although he hasn't had as much sleep this week as he'd had the last couple of weeks. He'll be falling a sleep on the sofa tonight but will still stay up to watch 'MoTD'.:(

Will need to get more petrol tomorrow as need to deliver birthday present.....which we haven't got yet....what do you get teenage boys (that are going off the rails), certainly can't give him money??

Off to think of some ideas.

  • Managed to get all the washing dry on the line yesterday...very happy.

Took a trip to deliver birthday present, forgot b'day card so had to buy one on the way, doh! Wasn't even offered a glass of water whilst we were there (don't get me started ) so ended up calling into cafe on way home, spent £11:eek:

Also had to get a new tube for under the unit in the kitchen £5.64 (15% off @ Hmbase). Cheaper than having the ceiling lights on.

Another spend yesterday was OH had some new sports trainers, to be fair his old ones had split, found some @did@s for £23 (was £55) so quite a bargain. That should hopefully keep him happy.:o:)

As we pulled of the drive yesterday we notice we've got some damage to the roof/chimney. Need to get some quotes, will see how much first before deciding if we go through insurance. Don't want to push the premiums up for next year.:(

Hoping today is a NSD, need extra money this week for childcare.

    Better get back to work.;)

Alice, I have stumbled across your thread today whilst having a quiet day (recovering from a nasty bug), and have been increasingly impressed as I read through with your resourcefulness, character and sheer guts for holding everything together in the face of adversity. Well done you, and all the friends who support you on here. :T I will be pm-ing you, please read it. :)
    Hope is not a strategy.
