  • Hi everyone!!!

Its been a while since I've posted, but I have been potting when I can. The new job I took means about $100 less a week, which unfortunately means less potting :( am also saving up for my first overseas trip at the end of the year! I'm very excited about that. I'm also tossing up about doing a PhD or starting my own counselling business...
On potting news the massive terramundi pot I was given has about another 20 $2 coins in it, I'm thinking it will be another decade before it's full :rotfl:

Haven't been paying much attention to Quidco, etc., but my current balance for this year (towards the pot) is £155.41, with £95.79 still to track. Thank you Travelodge and Trainline (see this is why I go on lots of trips to London, obviously :rotfl:). My eB*y sales prior to my holidays went well but I was naughty and used the funds to make purchases so the total wasn't as great as it could have been and what bit there was, went towards our holiday. However, I have more stuff on there now, and will ensure that that money goes towards the pot. I haven't done the lottery this year so haven't any lottery winnings to contribute.

I did a massive online grocery shop the other day and dont expect to be doing much shopping for a while,so not a lot for the pot.
I did cash out £22 yesterday from Prolific, but that is buying Amaz*n vouchers for buying books for my book group challenges,so I dont suppose that counts? If it does I'll add it all up for the end of this challenge year - which is approaching rapidly, about 14weeks left:eek: I have cashed out about £45 so far this year from surveys for my book fund.I have varying amounts in surveys, like £14 on You Gov,but you need to have a massive £50 before you can cash out from there. Its taken 5 months to get that £14,so it may be some time before I get that fifty quid in my hands.:rotfl::rotfl:
Maybe for the end of the 2019 challenge:D

A very good afternoon to you all SPCers! Sorry I've been missing but Wimbledon called me, and well you know how tis, I just had to listen! ;) I thoroughly enjoyed it though and at least it kept me away from the sun, so I stayed seizure free!!!! :j

I hope you're all well and keeping free from colds, we've had a few neighbours had them and they've been nasty.
Thinking of all those of you who may be poorly in any way and wishing you ALL to get well soon. Take care all of you. :grinheart

Thank you for my number! Working on the signature. I'm deliberately not keeping track of what I put in the pot so it will all be a delightful surprise, but found a few bits and bobs about the place. No news on the baby yet!

I hope it's not long before your little treasure makes an appearance, katsoocam, it must be miserable for you in all this heat. Look after yourself...and please could you pop you No on your siggy otherwise you'll forget all about it and I won't be happy!!!! ;) It's 052.

Hiya jakes-mum! I'm with you on not being able to stick extreme heat or extreme cold, it make life so miserable. :( I quite agree with winter pregnancies and had my two in February and March, much easier.

Excellent saving, Omg7kgdebt!!!! :T:j I take it that saving is becoming addictive to you, fantastic!!!!!

Never knock the amount you save, dustydigger, the most important thing is....that you're saving!!!!!!Be proud of yourself. :D BTW, I haven't had a YouGov survey for yonks as apparently they're unable to contact Plusnet folk, but I hope they soon can! :(

So sorry to hear about your losses, MrsShazbat, it's always sad when loved ones and friends pass away.Well done with your saving, and all the best with your washing machine! :(

Very well done with your saving too, Saver-upper!!!

Excellent potting, siju!!!! and thanks for the giggle about the dog minus the turkey!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks a lot twigletsmum, blowed if I could see your No on your sig though  maybe it was the colour text.

I’ve (hopefully) changed the colour text now so should be clearer. Thank you

Ah that's better, twigletsmum, I can see your No crystally clear now!!!! Thanks so much. :D Thanks so very much.

Good for you in popping on, Westie, you've got the thread rolling again!!!! :j Great potting too.

A real shame at having to take a cut in wages, TheCatsandDogsMother, but keep looking forward to that holiday!!!! I'll leave you to make your decisions about Phd v starting your business.

Have a really great weekend folks!!

    Sue xx

Afternoon potters, I have been absent for a while, unfortunately the health problems took me down and i've been struggling to get over it. Happens every so often, we call them my crashes as my body just give up and nothing but sitting and resting for however long my body decides will bring me out the other side. At least this one wasn't 8 months like the last one :(

My dear old mum has been making double dinners every day and bringing them round for me and my brood to eat as I couldn't cook and was too exhausted to eat so was living off 2 slices of toast :o

Anyway, I actually slept last night, only had insomnia till 1am so I was :D and I do actually feel like a living person today, mum just dropped off a yummy smelling curry so all I have to do is boil some rice and she's just admitted to sneaking in veggies to what shes been bringing round as she knows I hate all veggies apart from parsnips! I feel like i'm 5 again where she used to hide the peas under my yorkshire pudding :rotfl:

Have been potting the odd bit here and there but its been very few and far between as i've been using my card. I do have 30p in my purse for the pot though and also have £22ish to take out of paypal for selling some craft supplies that needs to go in the craft supply tin im running along side the £2, £1 and shrapnel tins :rotfl: I seem to be adding tins each year!

I am now going to do some more sitting and resting :( sooooo very bored! haven't even been able to watch tv! Enjoy the weekend my lovely potty friends

I promise I will pop my number in my signature as soon as I figure out how!
Little one arrived a week ago, a ten lb chunk. I did need a c section in the end. We are doing well but getting used to the challenges of new parenthood - all night feeding for example!
However it has been productive for the pot as we had lots of change ready for parking - went straight in there as my husband parked in staff in the end - and we were in for two days before and three after, so we accumulated some change from trips to the shop etc.

I was very surprised to have a very nice £17.87 when I emptied the purse today:j

I did a big supermarket shop earlier in the week,so no top-up shopping nearby the last few days.Normally I'm lucky to have 2 or 3 quid left!:rotfl:
School holidays now,and I'm afraid the grandkids are likely to be mopping up my change rather than the pot!:D
But I will have £20 to go to the credit union on Wednesday, making £242 in total there, plus £80 in notes in the pot . Amazing that just popping your spare change in a pot can add up so well despite mostly using a debit card for most of myshopping!:)

Hi all, hope the school holidays are going well for those with children (I know in most places they've only just started) I've counted my pot up (not sealed this year but not for using except in extreme emergencies) and there's over £300!!!!! Can't believe it! x WE have both our DGDs here with us, their Mum is in hospital, she collapsed over a week ago and was severely dehydrated and her calcium level was double what it should be. Hopefully the medics will sort her out. Worryng times x

congratulations katsoocam! We love an SPC baby :D blimey! 10lbs! I thought I was doing well when both mine were 9lbs 2ozs

Aww I hope your DGD's mum gets better soon Lucyhope, she is in the very best place and you can have lots and lots of DGD cuddles (that my mum assures me are the very best cuddles you can get :D )

DH brought me home £5.57 in change from the pub on saturday (including a £2 coin!) and I exchanged it for a £5er :D plus I got 1 x lovely £2 coins so a fair bit of feeding for the tins this weekend.

I have been keeping more of an eye on our bank since my PIP problems and have realised we are spending a lot more on food each week than I had realised so I am going to try going back to my weekly cash for food to bring it back down. Any money left at the end of the week can go in the pot :D

Such lovely news katsoocam, many congratulations :) We'll look forward to little updates from you as your little one grows :D

Hope things improve soon lucyhope, we are thinking of you all.

We were guests at a lovely wedding over the weekend, it was great to catch up with old friends and the weather was wonderful. I do enjoy an excuse to get dressed up!

I have slipped in my potting duties recently, but I emptied my purse today and have potted £3.45. Have a great week lovely Potters.
