The encore unit was showing @ £90.00 for me when i clicked. Has the price changed or was there a 10% off offer floating about? I didnt click it when you first posted.
Yes, you're probably right RE: Grade C. It was a just a cursory look for a relatively comparable laptop.
Yes, there is a 10% discount code. Will post it if needed.0 -
The maximum I could afford right now is £100, I guess if I waited a month or two I could get another £100 or possibly £150 together.
I just want something reliable for Skype and, if at all possible Word would be great.
I don't have any techie friends who could help with anything technical unfortunately.
For your needs £100 is fine.

Yes, you can buy a laptop on installments. Some sites offer this great opportunity to just facilitate the customers. You must have,
1) Find the best laptop for personal needs. Every laptop brand, type, and model is different
2) Pay with a credit card. Paying with credit card is optional, but it allows paying slowly over time
Credit card is a vital element to buy a laptop on installments online.0 -

Too far from me.
Anyway, you can see more details about the laptop here;
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lenovo-ThinkPad-L530-15-6-034-Laptop-Core-i3-2-4GHz-4GB-500GB-Windows-7-8-Pro-/183631769580
Another good option is here; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lenovo-Thinkpad-X240-Laptop-Intel-i5-4200U-128GB-SSD-8GB-RAM-Win-10-Pro-Grade-B/182698380248
as it has an SSD fitted, a more powerful processor and more RAM, so it will be very quick. But the small screen may not be as convenient for you.0 -
Similarly; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dell-Latitude-E6440-Laptop-Intel-i5-4200M-2-50GHz-8GB-Ram-128GB-SSD-Win-10-HDMI/183292427699 for £130
Though only 90 day warranty. 14" screen, so perhaps more comfortable.
So if you can wait and save a bit more, then it's all installed for you.0 -

It isnt.
Read the first two lines of post #13
Also an interest free credit card would make more sense than accruing credit card interest.0 -

This one seems great, the small screen would be fine.0
