Well I was declared bancrupt only 3 days ago, I have already had my phone interview with th OR, they said I can keep my Barclays basic current account, however when I phoned Barclays they said there would be some restrictions like not been able to use on line banking, so I thought I would apply for a Halifax basic account, on the website you have to apply for a current account then if your not accepted they will give you a basic account, there was no question that asked if I was bankrupt, to my amazement they opened a rewards current account, should I phone them and explain I am bankrupt.
