• Some good news tonight!
I have heard from my adjudicator about my complaint with Sunny. They have upheld my complaint and said Sunny need to repay interest, fees and 8% interest as well as removing anything from my credit report. Not my biggest but still a decent amount which will help so much in my life now.
Fingers crossed my last one with Quickquid also plays out well.
Considering the awful time I had and the mess I got in, which again I admit is part my fault, I have come out the other side and now feel like things are planning out well.

First Post Combo Breaker First Anniversary I've been Money Tipped!
Hi All,

I had a real torrid time a few years ago.
Ive been threw my statements, and i borrowed nearly £80k over a 5 years period.
I was being bailed out by family, and eventually lost my house.

Im now looking to reclaim this money, i had nearly £30k with wonga alone.

So guidance from people who have been through something similar would be appreciated.

If you go to the debt camel website (link further up) there is a template there - it really is simple. Work out how much you think you should be owed (i.e. how much interest you paid), and if they offer a figure that is close, accept! If not, the FOS process is just as simple, but it can be lengthy! Good luck!

I just want some advice really I have complained about my payday loan to swift sterling and they are willing to write off the remainder of my balance but not sure if to pursue it further with the Ombudsman. Just when I look at how much interest I was charged and how much I paid not sure whether to pursue it further? Any advice

That depends on how much you paid vs how much your balance is. For example, if you think you are owed £2000+ but your balance is only £300 then no way! Send it straight to FOS. However if you are owed around £500 but have a balance of £450, maybe it's not worth it.

• Hi all.. just after some advice if I may.
Made a complaint to Pounds to Pocket and Quickquid (both apparently under CashEuroNet) and receives this reply .. (sorry its quite long)..
“’ve investigated your complaint and would like to bring your attention to the following points:
Under the Financial Conduct Authority’s rules, complaints cannot be made where they concern an event that occurred more than six years ago. Of course, we will still investigate your allegations as they pertain to any loans you have received in the last six years.
DEPENDENCY
If there was dependency we would expect to see constantly increasing amounts in order to cover the prior loan interest and principal. However, your loan amounts varied and actually decreased from the previous loan which shows that you were not relying on one loan to repay the previous loan.
There were large gaps in your borrowing history. There was 350 days between your 6th and 7th loans, further demonstrating that you were not simply taking out one loan to repay the next one.
You are claiming that you were dependent on loans. Yet if you were dependent on taking out one loan to repay the other then you would have taken out numerous loans, for equal or increasing loan amounts, and with very little time between paying off one loan and taking out the other. When I reviewed your loan history I see that you never had more than four consecutive loans with less than 15 days between loans.
HARDSHIP
Finally, our records indicate that at no point did you notify us of any financial detriment or financial hardship. Had you alerted us to your difficult financial situation, we would have put you in “hardship” status, as is our process. We then would have frozen additional fees and interest while we worked with you to find an affordable repayment option.
CONCLUSION: COMPLAINT NOT UPHELD

Thanks for reading... anyone advise on the next step .. thanks in advance !
• Quick question guys - did anyone have success with Lending Stream? Did you request defaults to be removed from any of your complaints with PDL’s?
• To anyone who was considering a claim with The Money Shop, I strongly recommend it! I got a final response yesterday from them albeit it took them 15 weeks. They were not able to consider loans before 2007 which is fair enough, but agreed to pay out on all the rest which were all between 2007 and 2010. No fuss, no requesting bank statements, no ombundsman needed and with the 8% interest, I will be receiving just short of £4k after tax! All from one email that took less than 10 minutes to write!

ihave just sent off my first ever claim to FOS. Let’s see how long QuickQuid take. I have uploaded everything I possibly can. All bank statements covering the period I am claiming for, all the statement of loans from QuickQuid, my secret weapon of a credit report from 2014 showing I had defaults and bad arrears when the loans were given to me, and the final response that QQ made to me with the “offer” of £30.

I have dropped off any loans from before 2010 as they amount to about 300 but I am still claiming for just over £2000 for the rest. Fingers crossed! Anyone know how long QQ are taking at the moment with cases with the FOS?

Hi guys, I've had a lot of loans in the past with Wonga, I had to change jobs and took a large cut - I haven’t since about 2013 as it affected my ability to get a mortgage hugely
So avoided like the plague - I still have an account with Wonga, did a password reset as I am interested in totalling up the amounts I had in the past, Conveniently the loan history has disappeared, I wonder if Wonga are wise to this to stop people/put them off reclaiming costs,

Thoughts - I've sent them an email asking about previous loan history so I'll post back my findings

My initial complaint to the FOS went in around middle of August time after Sunny wouldn't uphold anything.

Couple weeks later I got an email from someone at the FOS regarding more information needed so they could investigate.
Then just before Christmas got the decision the adjudicator has agreed with me. Sunny have until today to reply to them letting them know whether they want to settle or if they have more information they think will change their minds.

My other complaint regarding QuickQuid is still with them and haven't heard anything yet regarding that moving on since them asking for more info.

Whilst it does take a little time, I kind of forget it is happening and get on with things but is a huge huge win for me when I get the email saying they shouldn't have sold me the loan. Thats both Sunny and Wonga now, so im hoping QQ goes the same.

These have ruined a lot for me and caused no end of issues. But im back on track and have a mortgage now so it is possible.

Good luck with your case, ill keep you updated with this and my QQ one

• Hi everyone, I too fell into a debt spiral back in 2009 and this went on until 2013, it was awful and just was drowning in Payday loans, my circumstances drastically changed, due to my Husbands MS. But anyway found this website and been using Resolver…

My story so far:

Mr Lender: £300 refund debt written off and credit file amended – took 3 weeks.
Peachy: Outstanding debt written off and credit file amended- took 2 weeks.
PaydayUK: £840 refund, £522 written off and credit file amended – took 6 weeks.
Wonga: Still waiting but had positive communication.
Lending Stream: Had £30 offer but refused so referring to FSA after 8 weeks up.
Wagedayadvance: had response but waiting for final response, 2 weeks left till escalate.
Quickquid: said No… so referring to FSA
Payday Express: still waiting but acknowledged.
CFO: heard nothing yet but think they’ve disappeared????

Also made complaint about Provident.

Hopefully 2018 will finally be debt free x x x
