Hi Nicwhit87 I have messaged you a template to use. Fill in as best you can and send it off, some companies came back to me within a week or two, others have taken a full 8 weeks, some made me offers and others rejected my appeal, the ones who rejected my complaints have been referred to the FOS (which may take a long time but I haven't got anything to lose by trying). Anything you want to ask feel free but I don't often get on here every day (but I will get back to you) so someone else will usually step in to answer your questions xx

    Hey guys

I've just added up my Wonga interest. Between November 2009 and Oct 2013 i had 54 loans from them, plenty of rollovers and full payments only to borrow the max an hour later. The interest I've paid is £11168.92.

Do you think I've got a good case for irresponsible lending? Should I go for all the interest repayed even though £3500 of the interest is from loans over 6 years ago?

    Any advice appreciated

For me this depends on how quickly you need the money. I would submit your initial complaint to include everything. If Wonga don't provide you with an offer you are prepared to accept and you need to raise to the FOS I would suggest you work it out then. By that point Wonga may have come to an agreement with the FOS on loans over 6 years. If this isn't the case you can decide then to drop those loans to speed things up, or you can put your feet up and wait.

Yes this! I have picked my fights based on the likely success and the speed with which I can get a result, some I have accepted small token refunds or a credit file correction, others I have held out for more, I am now at the sitting and waiting stage with 5 PDLs at FOS.

    Hi,
You should check a site called Debt Camel that holds a template and adapt it to suit your circumstances

Hi all, just dipping to say I have had an offer from PayDay UK of £349 for a return of interest on two loans. I have accepted this as it will come in handy for the upcoming season ;-)
Still got a couple more to respond and 6 with the FOS in various states of progress.

    Hi All,

I had a real torrid time a few years ago.
Ive been threw my statements, and i borrowed nearly £80k over a 5 years period.
I was being bailed out by family, and eventually lost my house.

Im now looking to reclaim this money, i had nearly £30k with wonga alone.

So guidance from people who have been through something similar would be appreciated.

I just want some advice really I have complained about my payday loan to swift sterling and they are willing to write off the remainder of my balance but not sure if to pursue it further with the Ombudsman. Just when I look at how much interest I was charged and how much I paid not sure whether to pursue it further? Any advice
