Mothernerd, I know that you know how important it is to get good sleep. So I'll not mention it ... other than to hope you manage some.

:bdaycake:Another cake for you, chocolatelover. Happy birthday for tomorrow.

Toni'sfriend - hope you guys feel better soon.

Today I am grateful for a relaxed day at home, for getting on with crafting bits and bobs, for a bonfire + fireworks + sparklers + marshmallows with some of dd's friends in our tiny garden, for more rugby on the box, for easy food, for knitting myself a poppy (will still donate, of course), for a working washing machine.

Checking in this evening to keep me on track.

NSDs - Still on 0 and won't get one tomorrow as have to pay for swimming. Hoping for my first on Tuesday

ORGANISE your time – I have kept the kitchen tidy all week (if not spotless) and tidied the room of doom aka the dining room today. Finally ordered a custom fit mat for the mat well in the hall (only taken a year :o) Bujo dusted off and lists done for Mon - Wed. Planned what days I can exercise this week and our family activity for the weekend.

Also had a chat with DH about getting up a little earlier. DH also has a habit of ringing me on his long commute to keep him company but I get nothing done. Agreed we would talk on the evening commute instead.

VALUES – our focus in on saving a big emergency fund against job loss.

ENJOY yourself – watched DS play 2 great rugby matches this morning and went to a cool firework display this evening. Sparklers in the garden and a lovely family dinner which DH and DS thanked me for making :)

MAKE an inventory of the food in your cupboards, fridge and freezer – on my to do list but used up several tins today - soup, potatoes, veg and custard and a couple of individual puds

BUDGETS – all spending within planned budget.

EXERCISE lots of steps today walking the dog around the rugby pitch several times, up and down the stairs tidying up and to and from where we parked the car for the fireworks

RULES – I will do my best

IN case of emergency – still to get the few items on my list

Stock up with generic painkillers, cold and flu meds – need some lemsip and a woolly hat for me!

NOW – restarting healthy eating habits (again) and becoming a saver - ate well today with lots of F&V and no choc, sweets or crisps but I did have a pudding after dinner and my usual 1 drink on a Sunday

NO takeaways – None and really don't fancy one either

ETA: Forgot the hot drinks we bought at the Rugby, supports DS club

EVERYONE re-mortgage should be through tomorrow, fingers crossed

EXTRA income – submitted shop n scan and food on the go to earn points

WINTER proof your home – We have had a H1ve fitted and still need to set the schedule.

YOU should cook from scratch when you can – started this week's meal plan by cooking a big batch of rice. Will prep the rest at 6am in the morning:eek:

OUTSIDE – watching rugby this morning and watching fireworks this evening

    REPORT – here I am!

    Evening all

NSD number two here. Bit of a slow start to the month! I did go clothes shopping but used a voucher, no cash had to exchange hands so I'm claiming my NSD! Got some nice clothes that will be suitable for work and for going out to socialise.

Also got a couple of loads of washing done - I swear there's another family living in this house sometimes, we go through phases where we seem to have so much washing! Also got the slow cooker going and made a weird pasta bake thing for dinner.

Went out riding this afternoon, beautiful weather, love looking at all the colours at this time of year, and as a plus the ground was just right so managed to enjoy myself a bit more than I have done recently. I'll count that as my down time as even though it's an activity it really is like down time to me, a chance to forget about everything else and just enjoy the world.

Have somehow ended up with quite a bad headache so am sitting in bed writing this. Will watch a little TV and go to sleep soon.
    Save £3,000 emergency fund #79 - £1,800 as of 04/24
