PPI Very

Options
Hi
I was sold PPI in June 1990 by Very (shop Direct) and paid for 14 years.
I used Revolver to submit a claim last year and although Very confirmed that i had been sold the PPI i have been told i can't claim anything because it was sold before 14/01/05.
any ideas?
Thanks.

I just received £2400 back from Very for a policy taken out in 2000 which they upgraded in 2001.

How did you do that? WHat were your complaint reasons? Might help the OP.

Although if they're rejecting saying it was pre regulation, they do not have to look at the complaint at all.

Have you had a final response letter?
Aviva Insurance Ltd (Aviva) the underwriters, has taken responsibility for the sale of PPI policies sold before 22/12/2003. Shop Direct are reviewing mis sold PPI complaints on their behalf.
I suggest you contact Very directly on Freephone 0800 015 8512

Sorry I didn't actually do anything. I went through resolver to see if I was sold PPI and they wrote back confirming I had. # few weeks later I was posted a questionnaire which I never sent back.
About 6 weeks later I had a letter saying my claim had been upheld to the tune of £2500 and a cheque would follow within 14 working days. It arrived on the 15th Working day.

    Hi Placida
i received a letter from the Financial Ombudsman stating that my policy is not one that they can investigate as it was taken out prior to 14/01/2005.
I have followed your link and filled out their online complain form.

    thanks for your advice.
