Utilita Smart meter - help please

I've moved into a property that has a smart meter prepayment, for one had a nightmare trying to switch to different companies without any fixed swap over dates etc. Ive never been on prepayment in my life.
Eversmart signed up, didnt hear from them and been 23 days.
Next tried yorkshire energy and they said can't swap me as im on prepayment and it needs to be a credit meter
So I call utilita about this problem and they tell me I need to pay for energy for three months before I can swap to a credit meter. I said I cannot do this with two kids and electric heating and economy 7 tank.
I wonder if anyone can help me on this one. All want to do is swap off this rubbish and get good value credit tariff.

Just choose a credit supplier, I went to EDF. On changeover day Utilita switch the meter to credit mode .(standard practice with smart meters).. Job doneOfficial SOS Club number 004 - Dry until (05.01.10)0
