Is there even enough room in that kitchen to open the oven?!

Floor plan says the kitchen is 0.93m wide. Assuming standard units & oven, you could just about open the door, but not to get anything out safely. Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -

I know there are recommended ergonomic minimum clearances for access to sinks, baths, toilets, cupboards etc but I wonder if they are legally enforceable?0 -

They are considered for Planning in new builds, but AFAIK not in Building Regs for refurbishment of existing (much of which wouldn't be subject to full building regs anyway).
The floor plan makes me wonder if the front small room of large flat on the landing has been borrowed to make a third smaller flat.
Originally the back bedroom of that flat would have been a kitchen, with a small scullery off, and the hall cupboard may have been a box bed off the kitchen.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

I'd actually buy this, scrub off the years of nicotine, and refurb it but keep the Parkray solid fuel central heating as I do miss mine in a way. :rotfl:0 -

A 'one bedroom detached house' which is actually a studio. A studio with a 'mezzanine' directly above the kitchen area, which is maybe big enough to fit a single mattress, accessed via a steep ladder and without enough headroom to sit up in:

The place has been completely renovated so i was curious to see what it looked like before. Sold for £85k August last year:

To be fair there's a fair bit of work been done, and you don't have to use that sleeping space for sleeping. It would be useful storage. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
