    i had 2
    P60 slipsThe important information is

    1st employment.
    Tax code: 0TX
    Pay in this employment 8371.73£
    Tax in the employment 1671.80£
    for this employment I did not received a p45 from the employer - although i chased them for months.


    2nd employment:
    Tax Code 1150L
    Pay in previous employment 9,718.88£
    Tax in previous employment 1,010.00£

    You need to give the "in this employment" details from the second job.

    And do you know why the "in previous employment" details on the 2nd employment P60 don't match the details you have provided for the first employment. Or is there a third employment which these relate to?

    i had two employments in the tax year 17/18. not 3, not 4. Only 2.

    maybe i mixed it up.
    1st employment was the 1st in the tax year - until end october. in november 17 i moved to the 2nd employment.

    so in my first employment (previous

    Pay in this employment 8371.73£
    Tax in the employment 1671.80£
    for this employment I did not received a p45 from the employer - although i chased them for months.

    and the

    Pay in this/current employment 9,718.88£
    Tax in this/current employment 1,010.00£

    So if your total taxable income was £18090 and no other complications (expenses, Marriage Allowance transfer etc etc) then you would owe tax on £6590 which at basic rate of 20% would be a tax liability for 2017:18 of £1318.

    Based on your latest post you have paid £2681.80 during the year so would be entitled to a refund of £1363.80

    yep that sounds about right - as i started in July - just moved to UK in the last week of June
    and no other complications (expenses, Marriage Allowance transfer etc etc) then you would owe tax on £6590 which at basic rate of 20% would be a tax liability for 2017:18 of £1318.
    ok this makes still sense to me !

    right so paid - owed tax = refund. So i just need to wait until i get paid this back from the HMRC? correct.

    i got the post from the HMRC today.They are stating the same amount as you do ! Again, Thanks for the advice !
