Ho Alfie we were snap today. We drove to Biggin Hill so air con in car. We then had a coffee and sandwich in Waitrosecafe. We did not need much shopping but walked around a near empty store at the slowest pace ever. Been home about an hour but still feel cool from all the air con. Found some quiche for dinner tonight.

Indie you are good not to say something to the lady who doesn!!!8217;t like air con on. Do hope you have a rest this week.

Morning, it was a little cooler last night so i got some sleep. Came down and sons asleep on sofa so he must have been hot upstairs.
I use to go to the Biggin hill air show when i was a kid, great day out.I have the taxi run today ( as i call it). Take sons GF to dockyard for her voluntary job, helping build boats then got vets at 10. Then take son to his hobby shop just after lunch then pick them up tonight. At least the afternoon is free. I may start painting the fence is it stays cooler. They did say it should be around 23 today. Hope you all have a lucky day.

    :hello: Good morning everyone

It's another sunny/warm start to the day here soleil02.gif
although seems slightly less muggy/humid outside - still
    stifling indoors though! chaud1.gif

Spent ages yesterday evening trotting back & forth with
my watering can, giving many of my (wilting/dying) plants
a much needed drink. Even well established shrubs such as
my beautiful butterfly bushes have started to shrivel up!
Could really do with some rain now. pluie07.gif

We have two glorious events to celebrate today! aviateurfou.gif

Definitely cooler here today. Had both windows open over night woke up feeling chilly and snivels.

You are certainly busy this morning Indie. Wish you luck fence painting.
The old air base is now closed at Biggin Hill. Used to love driving passed the old planes at entrance. We had not been over there for a while so saw a difference.

Thanks for links Alfie. Love Dont step on a bee.

Dreaded ironing awaits. Only dreaded because there is such a pile of it.

Hope everyone has a good and lucky day.

Alfie..Do you know someone in Military wives or just champion them? Two for my first cousins have parade marched for the royal weddings , lot of military on my aunts side. I can't belieive the idiots setting fire up there on purpose, uncle is a bush fire fireman in Auss, The stuff he sees with the animals is so sad, peoples houses lost

Leanfun ..argh what do you do for food, mine youngest isn't keen on most salad but happy to eat iceberg and cucumber so that's something, It's too hot to cook and eat! At least it's cooled down now.

Water ..? I'm lucky I love it delish! That said I hate my mums ..it tastes chalky! Plus it's free..well almost as I'm on a water meter not sparkling though that's just the devils work :rotfl:

I have managed to damage my toe nail it's almost all the way off, thankfully day 3 so not so bad, how did I do this?..I walked into the wall as I had changed my bedroom round and i'n the dark forgot about it. Makes me realise how much careful we have to be with people with sight issues.

Definatly cooler here and so I feel more pro-active, given a chance I would sit round in my pants all day but not really a done thing!
Washing on line , now time for a brew and family meeting time , planning what to do in the hols that doesn't cost a bomb. Have a great day all keep well xx

COME ON ENGLAND! :T :footie:

I thought the RAF100 centenary was absolutely spectacular
yesterday, felt extremely proud to be British. :T:T:T

My daughter is married to a military chap mummy2, a lovely
RAF pilot & she's a member of the Military Wives Choir attatched
    to his squadron.

I'm like you - love a good drink of tap water! Lol about
sparkling water being devil's work! :rotfl::rotfl:

    Ouch re. your toe!

It's a little bit fresher outside today but the house is still
stifling, especially upstairs. Although having said that, I did
manage to get a fairly decent night's sleep in the end. Seems
as if it's going to become warmer again over the next couple
    of days. Sigh.

Did you manage to get the dreaded pile of ironing done in the
end leanfun? It's always last on my 'to do' list, especially
in this sort of heat! :p

    Morning all,

Just popped in to say we are having a lovely break although been feeling the heat as no air conditioning in our hotel room. Never thought to check that before I booked, in March!
Have done a lot of canal walking and been to Blackpool Zoo.
Going to see "Titanic the Musical" this afternoon. That is all my Ticketmaster wins spent now so got my fingers crossed for a win on Ribena comp to get some more. Will be heading home tomorrow for a few days.

Hope everyone has a lucky day.

Morning folks. Not as cloudy this morning. Still warm but has been easier to sleep. RAF flypast was fab alfie. Where are you staying in Blackpool shiels? It's an old haunt of mine re conferences. So have stayed in a few nice places not many of them have air conditioning in bedrooms though. Hope everyone is well. Hugs for those needing one.
