I am going to copy over all my posts about my new kitchen or lack of it!!!!

I am changing my thread name back to a more saving focussed one so I don't get distracted.

Addendum: I have changed the name again as I am planning to chill out now I have savings and am going to continue to save for happy times. lol.

Henry is wearing two sets of lights but at the moment that is it. I will try to stick some red on him today in between marking and ironing and tidying.

It is Remembrance Day - very humbling. We are so lucky to have an England that is free because of sacrifices made by others. God Bless those who gave their lives for us. We will not forget.

Items ironed so far: 16 & vacuumed house. Will do marking on day off.

So good to be home. All is well. Today was a no spend day. I have the grand sum of 18 cash in my purse to last me till the end of the month (this is because I spent quite a lot getting the clocks repaired_ but there is a significant amount of 150 still in my bank account. I am going to see how far I can last without touching it.

Tomorrow I have a blood test to go to (which will cost 10 in taxis). Then I will work at home. I am going to avoid spending for the rest of the month. I do have Kew to go to on the end of the month and will use some of the 150 for that.

I did try to see if I could sell something on fleabay but I can't as I threw the box away. lol. Im chucking the item out tomorrow as I don't want it.

I have decided after speaking to LL (who runs marathons as his hobby) and the boys that I will lose weight by walking every day even on my days off when I usually just sit at home.

Yesterday was busy after my hospital visit I spent a lot I charged it to my card 30 on travel, fruit, lots of meat/fish whoopsies from Mr T's which should feed me till January, books and decoration from charity shop, kitchen bits etc.

I also withdrew 40 as I have run out of money. lol. But that is only because I spent that much sorting out my clocks so I don't mind. I still have enough for Kew but I am not buying anything else except maybe fruit for the rest of the month.

I then did lots of marking. However I am still feeling positive and my health is good.

Only one more day till the weekend. I spent 5.20 on cake and tea for a friend at work. She feels v down. We are both employed and are earning money but she has experienced a salary drop too. I am sure the dark nights have something to do with it as well. I am hoping to do catch up marking tomorrow.

Apart from that all is well. lol. I have admin to do but I might leave it till tomorrow morning. V tired. lol.

OMG Skinty the carloan is nearly over. Hurrah.

I had a really important meeting and have been up since 5am getting prepared for it. It went swimmingly!!!!! I was so flipping happy I came home and did loads of horrid jobs that I have been putting off. Got my Sky refund, contacted my broadband supplier to find out what I am getting, then I logged onto my new bank account. I wrote all my lessons for Monday and now I have one giant work task to do which will take most of the weekend.

Has anyone been watching Goldigger? I put it on in error on Tuesday and couldn't switch it off. Ignore the critics I thought it was marvellous. Im certain it wont end well but you don't know.....

I know, it's so close to being paid off I was tempted to pay it all on 1 December but don't want to have a miserable skint Christmas.

Well done on your meeting, sky refund and bank transfer. When does your switch money payout ?

Hope you are having a lovely weekend.

I was ill yesterday and today but even then I have done a fair bit of work. I stopped work today at 3pm and mopped, and dressed Henry. He looks hot in red. Imagine it, a tranny Christmas tree.

One of my friends is taking me out tomorrow after work to a nice restaurant but if I am too tired I've asked if he would consider just have fishnchips takeaway at my place. He's not a boyfriend as I am an old maid. lol.

What a day. OMG so glad to be home. Tree is up lights are jingling only two days to go...

2 spent today on diet coke. It really was a crazy day.

In total I spent 10 on food and shopping on my day off yesterday. Travel was free as I walked!

Mmmmm, diet Coke, my weakness, even after giving it up for Lent this year (and then very slowly going back on to it, as it didn't taste right for ages!)

Hello everyone, my niece and her boyfriend arrived with a large bottle of Moet and Chandon yesterday and some rather lovely Belgian chocolates to celebrate my birthday early. I'm going to keep it till next week when my parents come!

I bought some fishnchips to treat us all to a lovely evening meal last night. Today I have marked since 9am and am calling it a day! I have done two lots of washing and am using the machine to dry them. House has been vacuumed. I have been watching the impeachment trial in the US for weeks and am utterly fascinated by it all. Here we just cover everything up although we mock the US it really is a democracy at least their dirty washing is put out to be inspected. lol.

I have 50 cash to my name and that includes London too. Yikes. There is some money in my bank account but that is for bills and for a v large credit card bill. Roll on payday I cannot wait.

This morning I tidied as one of my friends was coming out with me to look at Christmas decs. We ate and I also withdrew some money for cakes for our office. I spent 41 in total today but took it from the xmas fund. I basically ate a looooooot and wont need to eat tonight.

I have done some marking. It didn't take long. Im going to chill now. The things in the Christmas displays were lovely but because I am a minimalist now I didn't buy anything. I am so proud of myself.

I watched some decluttering videos on you tube and have just moved some pictures round upstairs. I do have some ironing I can do on my day off and plenty more marking although I will have to go in to work also.

You're being very strong about the decluttering, SW; well done on not buying any Christmas decs, they're hard to resist when they're so pretty and sparkly

Hello Skinty it was manic as work had deadlines and my parents came and the boys and we went to Kew so I couldn't post. I went to Kew Gardens to see the lights at the weekend with the boys.

My parents are visiting and have utterly spoiled me. The house is spotless and I managed to do lots of catch up marking too. Health has been good due to healthy cooking I am glad to say.

Hurrah for payday. I have put 150 to overpayment, 750 to mortgage. My credit card bill is nearly 200. With juggling of my Christmas Fund I have 291 in my account left for fun/food/presents and 90 cash to my name. All the rest is going on bills my gas has gone up by loads.

Bet Kew was fab. I know what you mean about the gas bill. It's blooming freezing at the moment. I had a message from eon to drop my direct debit from 80 to 65 but I have left it at 80. If the rest of the winter is as cold or colder than this I would rather pay more monthly than not pay enough.
