Have you actually been notified of an increase to your tariff within the guranteed period, either by letter, e-mail or on your bill or statements?
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers
  • They emailed me a letter on the 26th October.
They are sticking to their guns and have issued deadlock letters.
Complaint now registered with the Ombudman service.
  • Just had this email

    Dear Mr ………

The 'welcome home tariff' is currently under investigation for how it was sold and advertised, so whilst it is under investigation we are keeping you on the same rates and these will not be increased. As soon as we are told the outcome of the investigation you will updated accordingly.

    Kind Regards

    Rebecca

My fix finishes in April 2019. With the amount of small operators going bust I am hoping they will be around then. Also a bit worrying they have launched a deal whereby asking the customer to pay a year in advance and in return some poultry interest.

Hopefully there is not a more sinister reason for this because of cash flow problems.

Well I'll be. Did this message come out of the blue or were you in dispute with them? I've been in dispute but I've not received anything. In any case, it's good news.

Poster 'Ian4321' (post #120) says he's been told that his Northern Glory tariff is also not fixed. So Eversmart should be investigating that one too.
