    Here we go.....
Right! It seems to be a bit quiet on here, and I'm getting excited about my April trip :D So here's a few fun questions to respond to to give us some inspiration :)

(Don't take them too seriously, just a bit of fun! I'll think of my answers shortly!)
    • If there was only one restaurant you could go to on your trip, which would it be and why? Ellis Island, for the beautiful BBQ Chicken
    • What's your favourite slot machine? Pompeii or Buffalo
    • Where's the one cool place you go, that you think many people don't know about? Boulder City. But I think everybody stops there on the way to Hoover Dam (we like the pub there though)
    • Is there one place you'll visit every trip? Primm
    • Where's the best place to grab a drink/coffee and people watch? The Fashion Mall.
    • What US-only produce/goodies do you buy to bring home? Lemonheads sweeties & anything from The Bath & Body Works.
    • What do you usually stock up on from CVS/Walgreens? Water, sweeties, fridge magnets, general 'I love Vegas' tat
    • What's your favourite free thing to do? Walk up & down the strip
    • Where are the best shopping bargains to be had? The Outlet Mall near the airport
    • What's the one show you'd gladly see again as it's so great? George Wallace - if his show comes back or Phantom.
BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.

comping = nowt more thrillin' than winnin':T :j

    • If there was only one restaurant you could go to on your trip, which would it be and why?
Rose Rabbit Lie - went when it first opened, one of the best dining experiences we've had anywhere
    • What's your favourite slot machine?
      Ghostbusters
    • Where's the one cool place you go, that you think many people don't know about?
The bar in the Vdara lobby is pretty neat.
    • Is there one place you'll visit every trip?
Used to be Cheeseburger in Miracle Mile, then it closed!
Used to be Jean Philippe Patisserie, now they've closed!
We'll always check out the Bellagio conservatory

    • Where's the best place to grab a drink/coffee and people watch?
Cabo Wabo out the front of Miracle Mile, on the Strip
    • What US-only produce/goodies do you buy to bring home?
Nothing really, maybe some sweets which we can't get in the UK like variations of M&Ms, Oreos...
    • What do you usually stock up on from CVS/Walgreens?
      snacks/soft drinks for the room
    • What's your favourite free thing to do?
Bellagio Conservatory as mentioned above, but as another selection: Bellagio fountains - never grow old! But just wandering around the properties keeps us happy!
    • Where are the best shopping bargains to be had?
North premium outlets, Old Navy at Town Square
    • What's the one show you'd gladly see again as it's so great?
Haven't seen loads of shows, but Rose Rabbit Lie was great (with Piff the Magic Dragon) as was MJ One, but wouldn't feel the need to see the latter again.

When we pick up our Avis car at McCarran are we able to pick one from a row or do they give you keys at the desk?
Last time I was nearly in tears after the hard sell at the desk to try to get us to buy extra cover and upgrade, then when we got to the rank they just said take any car in that row....

Usually just pick from the row of cars in your category. That’s been our experience in the recent past.

Mon Ami Gabi - breakfast to people watch
    What's your favourite slot machine?
Quick Hits but don't really play slots
Where's the one cool place you go, that you think many people don't know about?
Am not very cool so wouldn't know
Is there one place you'll visit every trip?
One or both of the outlets north & south
Where's the best place to grab a drink/coffee and people watch?
Just off the edge of the casino floor anywhere
What US-only produce/goodies do you buy to bring home?
    Melatonin tabs
What do you usually stock up on from CVS/Walgreens?
    Water & melatonin tabs
What's your favourite free thing to do?
walk along strip every morning when its quiet and see the night owls going to bed
Where are the best shopping bargains to be had?
Don't think there are any now, used to be good upto about 4 yrs ago
What's the one show you'd gladly see again as it's so great?
Love but have soft spot for Le Reve as that was first ever show to see in LV
  • Guess I should have introduced myself before answering the quiz.
I love Vegas, went for a weekend in the early 90s, then went in 2012, have been back every year since, sometimes twice. We go to play poker and all the other games, enjoy at least one show per trip and generally relax and spend time in the sun. Hoping to go again at the end of April, still waiting for perfect flight price for 11-14 nights, usually stay on strip and vary hotel depending on comps being offered.
