Just had word this a.m. my Clydesdale 2yr fix at 2.1% is ending in April and have been offered the 1yr fix for 0.75% or go mad and fix for 5yrs at 1.25%.
Decidedly underwhelmed!0 -
Rumour is that Notts BS will be launching a 2.25% Regular Saver. With up to 2000 being able to be deposited in April.
Great news.
I'll go get my tin hat now for Colstens annual criticism of me.0 -
I have NW Flexclusive ISA from previous tax years (2015 and earlier) but because the interest rate is too low, about August last year I moved it to higher interest current account taking advantages of cash ISA flexibility. I am planning to put it back into NW Flexclusive ISA to retain its ISA status on Wednesday April 5 (the last day of 206-2017 tax year) using FP.
I have NW FP many times it will arrive to NW account in a matter of seconds. On Thursday April 6, 2017 (the first day of 2017-2018 taxyears) I will move it out to higher interest current account. I want to keep its ISA status.
- Is there any problem with this plan ?
- Is there any known pitfalls for doing this with very tight schedule ?
Thanks0 -

There is no problem with your plan, other than the slight risk the transfer might be delayed if you are extremely unlucky.0 -

I'd do it with maybe 3 working days spare in case of any problems such as:-
FP could be delayed on the day you try it - bank websites are not 100% reliable.
The amount could trigger a security check - especially if it's a new payee.
The amount could be above your bank daily FP threshold.
Your internet connection could go wrong.
You could forget your bank password (oh, only me then!)
and so on!Do Money Saving sites make you buy more bargains - and spend more money?0 -

That's good news - branch based I assume?
I got an advance maturity letter for my 3 per cent Saffron BS 12 month regular saver ISA on Friday. No sign of another regular saver ISA from them.
The letter Informed me that on maturity it would be moving my funds into a flexible ISA paying a whopping 0.25 per cent - accompanied by a glossy three page leaflet explaining amongst other things than in 12 months if I invested £1000 I would hsve warned a whole £2.50 in interest tax free!
Somehow think I won't be taking advantage of that offer!0 -

Still waiting mine.

They definitely aren't launching one.0 -

How did you know that. Normally Saffron offer will match Nottingham BS.0 -
Really? I'll be gutted if so!
Done theirs as my new one for several years now. Great as you can open by post.
Not impressed with their Maturity ISA at 0.25% though as Rich2808 said!
Already got another one from previous years maturity on 14/4 so looks like I am going to be busy trying to find something half decent, or more than one maybe :sad:0 -
