Hellow lovely DFW'ers! Many many moons ago when I was a baby DFW we had a thread for the long haulers - ie those of us who because of enormous debts will be here for a looooong time. In view of the fact that there are a few of us again I thought it would be nice to start a long haulers thread agaon, the previous one probably being a zillion pages back!
Being in debt for years can be quite depressing (possibly why I had a blip & then had to come back...with more debt...doh, will I ever learn!!). My last loan payment will be paid off in about 7 years, when I am 45!! Anyone want to join me in support, moans, mini goals and general support on the long road ahead? :D

As of 21/11/07 I will allocate the new numbers - if you would like a number please pm me & I'll add you to the list below ASAP. It try to add them every few days but if work/life very busy it may take a bit longer! If I havent done it in a week feel free to chase me up!!

    Can I join your thread? I'll be here for a loooooooooog time too! About 5 years until my loan is paid off (within a month of my 50th birthday :sad: unless there's a miracle) and trying to live as cheaply as humanly possible.

    I'll be around with a non-mortgage debt until 2011 and then for a further 6 years with the mortgage debt. Membership numbers sounds great - like a prisoner ID number!!!;)

    Count me in. My loan ends in Oct 2011 when I will be (erm, counts...) 47 - but as for my mortgage.... well I'm not sure I'll EVER pay it off.

    Who were the previous long-haulers, and do you know if any ever made it to debt-freedom?
