Best free(or very cheap) video editor for adding audio to MP4 screencast

Hi,

I am looking for a fast and simple way to add multiple MP3 audio files to an MP4 video file

I have Adobe Premiere Elements 11 but looking for something a bit more recent and quicker. Can anyone something they like that is either free or very cheap?

    ffmpeg can do pretty much anything with audio/video files.

    Interesting, so perhaps a command to insert an MP3 at x seconds. This could be a goog solution, thanks

    I'm not familiar with all of its functions. It's a fairly complicated tool, so I tend to google for examples of the kind of commands I want and look up those options in the manual/help to configure them appropriately.


    Maybe someone else knows, but... I think you'd use the "concatenate" function to chain audio files together to make the soundtrack of a video. I think there's an option to generate silence too (if you wanted silence before/after/between audio tracks, or to synchronise them with the video).

    you will actually play multiple tracks simultaneously but at different levels. You will probably have many tracks, one being dialog, another possibly music, and multiple sound effects too, all these timed correctly too, which will be really hard to do if mixing and concatenating into one track. All this adds to complexity of the software :(

    There are quite a few good free video editors, but many have steep learning curves and take time to master

    I've always found VSDC very easy to use, and for what you are wanting to do, it's simple.

    I've never done it, but I'm sure you can add multiple audio tracks, and manouver them on the timeline.
