Signing off JSA for a short time

My daughter was on ESA, then moved to JSA. She has now got a job with a toy superstore which is opening a new branch later this month.
Her contract is for 8 hours a week although she is hoping there will be more hours available.
However, for the three weeks since she got the job, they have been on training, which has been a lot more than 8 hours a week, and next week they are fitting out the store, and will be working six days, 11 hours a day.
Obviously she's been told by her adviser that the can't keep signing for JSA, and accepts this.
But these long, extra hours, are only for a short time, and initially at least, her working hours will only be 8 a week.
What will be the position for her now? Does she sign back on for JSA as she will be doing less than 16 hours a week? Or does she come off JSA altogether, and just claim WTC?
Can anyone advise what she should do in terms of claiming/signing, and when she should be doing it?
She is a single parent of a 7 year old, if that's relevant.

Once her hours go to 8 hrs a day then she can make a rapid reclaim for JSA.
She cannot claim WTC unless she is doing 16+ hours a week.0 -
How many others are on 8 hour contracts? You might find she will get a lot more than 8 hours a week in practice.
