    Procedure being carried out today to determine whether it is the worst case scenario as they believe it is. For all those with a spare pair of fingers I'd really appreciate some of them being crossed for my wonderful Mum. Xx

    Still no news from the hospital unfortunately, it seems it's going to be at least a week until we know what the scenario is. ☹️ In the meantime, I'm trying to keep busy and concentrate on other things to keep things as normal as possible for DS.

    Onto moneysaving, I sold a £15 item today via gumtree, also advertised one more thing and sorted some more stuff for eBay but have yet to list it. The three eBay items I have listed are not doing well. Two with bids on but only at a minimum amount so far.
    One more business order came in, I really need to get those all made and packed tomorrow, ready to post Monday.
    My darling Mum wrote a letter to DS and I from the hospital and put £10 in it for us, so I will put that towards the bathroom fund too. Had some tears when I received that today.

    Had to do a top up shop today, including batteries which always cost a fortune. Came in at just under £28. Still within the £150 grocery target for the month - just.

    Still well under budget on the 'everything else' category, although I've had to put building materials on the credit card. I'm not even looking at that at the moment but I'll have to pay it down as soon as I can. At the moment the priority is finding another £131 to cover the labour costs of the next lot of building works. I did manage to get the shower and the shower tray for around £110 for both, so it paid to shop around.

    I've finished the wallpapering now, it looks great and I'm really pleased with it. I wish I'd had a go earlier in the year as I probably could have done the stairs, upstairs hall and downstairs hall myself instead of paying £1600 early this year to have it done. It was a huge job mind and I probably would still be doing it now. Oh well, what's done is done.

    Having Sunday dinner cooked for us tomorrow in exchange for doing a bit of DIY, think that's a fair deal!

    I've completed a fair few surveys today, just need to do one more until I can cash out for a £5 amazon voucher. I've decided to do that now instead of the prepaid cards as they were a pain to spend. I'll hopefully be able to build up a nice little fund for Christmas presents that way.

    Oh, and managed to top up my OP account to £10 so have paid another £10 off the mortgage, so that's £50 OP this month with very little effort tbh.

    Really feeling :( today. My Mum's op is scheduled for today to determine the outlook - if she's well enough to undergo it.

    OH and I had a bit of a fall out last night too. We cleared the air as quick as it started, but I'm still feeling sad and upset about it all.

    I'm struggling to be positive about anything at the moment tbh.

    I did get a few things done yesterday afternoon though. I made most of the orders I needed to get done, so I can post them tonight or tomorrow. I also listed 5 more ebay bundles, 2 have sold overnight as BINs. I'll only clear about £10 in total after postage, but its £10 I didn't have before.
    I ordered a Christmas present for DS, £14.99 reduced from £60, so that will be hidden away when I pick it up this week.

    I popped to Home bargains and asda yesterday to pick up a few top-up shop bits. Also picked up a few things I didn't need, so I have confirmed that I must absolutely stay away from shops. :o

    The child benefit has been paid into the account, thank goodness. First time I have actually been waiting on it. I'm not sure what's going on with the tax credits, I am expeciting a small payment but they are notorious for doing their own thing, so I can't rely on it turning up. It's payday in 8 days anyway, so I'll be ok as long as we have another free weekend.
