  • After a long day of procrastination now need to stop being random and get on with things. Think it did me a lot of good yesterday to have a switched off sort of day.

    Today to do.
    1) Follow up on two enquiries for SE work.
    2) Pick up parcel from PO ( I was in - they didn't knock - just left a card yesterday grrrrr @!%@#!
    3) Grocery shopping - have depleted freezer to virtually nothing - in prep for restock for birthday season leading into Christmas season. (DS,Me,Dad, sister, DD, niece, 2 cousins- all between 11 Oct and 15 Dec)
    4) Post thank you card to exchange family

    Clean kitchen/oven is yuk.
Finish pruning cherry tree (lovely and bright outside today after a days of grey)
Sweep patio - looks a mess
Clear ironing heap as weekend will be another logistic challenge
(open morning at school, part time fun job, rugby match on Saturday, part time fun job, washing ironing on sunday, as am working Fri-Weds marking).
Hoping to get at least downstairs all tidy and hoovered as plan to go see parents tomorrow to catch up with their paperwork, and do a big shop for them.

Continue with filing and clearing office.

Hey ho, its off to work we go.

Have a good day all :-)

Just crossed posts Brizzle - have just been visiting yours but you were out!

Have a good weekend too (forgot to add that on your page :-( as it doesn't feel like a Friday yet!)

No lounging around for me, School open day tomorrow am so DS has to be in for 9am - playing music for 90 mins and helping demos in a classroom for the rest of the time. Me - doing a stint on PTA stand. Then have a kids party to do (fun part time job) - this will wipe out the afternoon, - will get back exhausted, hopefully to a cooked dinner ;-). then repeat on Sunday.
Am taking all the bits and bobs of work that I can, figuring that every £ earned is a £ closer to bein DF and MF. This weekend will give me and extra £100 - hard work though. At least it keeps me out of trouble.

  • Good Morning :-)

Am home today and it's beautiful outside. Am hoping to focus on admin and get it out of the way so that I can spend some time in the garden, lopping and pruning and stocking up some Vit D.

A couple of quotes to send out today for enquiries last week- fingers crossed they get accepted - need the work to cover bills from end of October.
Have two weeks of marking work lined up for end of October/early Nov and a few bits and bobs on odd days of work from the school, plus another 2 party workshops this coming weekend from my fun job. Trouble is the fun job is feeling like hard work at the moment - had such a busy weekend last weekend that my back gave up so have been hunched over and hobbling about for a couple of days (but still went in to do some marking work. Feeling a bit looser today (the lopping will either fix me or kill me :-)

    List for today -
    Quotes to send
Admin- emails and phone calls, esp mortgage company as haven't had confirmation yet - getting a bit concerned....
Book tickets a range of school events that DS is taking part in - some are £16 - £20 eek!

Bought a Will writing pack a while back but never got round to doing anything - need to sort out my parents for them one and also ours- I have been avoiding doing it for several years because I don't like thinking about things like that.

Usual washing to do (my heap of ironing is miniscule and needs topping up) :-) and domestic stuff + car in desperate need of a clean.

    Best get on.
    Have a lovely day
