    Having recently done the Inca Trail I'm now setting my sights on Kilimanjaro...can anyone tell me if I need a entry visa and innoculations before travelling. Thanks

    For a start, the country you will be visiting is Tanzania. Ask your doctor about vaccination and health precautions. As to whether or not you need a visa, that rather depends on your nationality.

    You've posted this on the wrong board. This is specifically for volcano problems so you mightn't get the answers that you were looking for.

    I entered Tanzania through KIA and bought my visa on arrival as it was $50 that way or 50 in advance. It was also much quicker to arrive without the visa as I was the only one in that queue (which doubled as passport control). The queue for the actual passport control was lengthy. Whether that is still the case you'd have to check for yourself. I went about 10 years ago so it's quite possible that they've changed the rules.

    I also needed a yellow fever certificate to gain entry.
