Don't park where you should not. Don't ignore the fine when it comes in. Councils have services to pay for and will want paying - that applies to council tax, school and nursery charges and any other areas where payments are not made.Aiming to make £7,500 online in 20220

AgreeDon't ignore the fine when it comes in.
Also agree but don't think they can't be challenged. For council ticket would suggest https://www.pepipoo.com.

And Legal Beagles too. Great site.
For tickets on private land, ports, airports and railway stations there is excellent advice on MSE

You can pay the bailiff on the doorstep – you don't have to let them into your home, but make sure you get a receipt to prove you've paid. If you can't afford to pay in full, you can offer to pay in monthly or weekly instalments. They don't have to accept this, but it will show your intent to pay.
Of course, you could do all of that before it has been passed to the bailiffs...0
