We have in recent weeks had FTTP installed. this has uplifted our broadband download speed from 1.8MB (yes really)to 76MB.
This has opened up the world of TV Choices and we are exploring. Our first step was today and my husband has tried connecting to NOW TV. Our progress and problems so far:
Our 18 month old Sony Bravia TV does not upload NowTV App. According to the website Now App does not support Sony TV. Has anyone cracked this?
We have loaded the App on a macbook and have a 24 hour Sky pass..
All works on the Mac.
We connected the Mac to the TV with an HDMI and have Sky picture but not sound. Is there a more experienced user on here who can give us novices direction for a solution?

Not many TVs do support Now TV out of the box.
It is by design that the signal cuts off if you connect it to a TV.
You would do better to get one of these:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Smart-Stick-Voice-Search-Entertainment/dp/B07BBP8HL3
Which is a Now TV rebranded version of one of these:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Roku-Express-Streaming-Media-Player/dp/B076F7D71R0 -
The NowTV stick with those passes is usually available around £15.
Not £15 at the moment but as this is MSE cheaper here:

HDMI could be the hdmi settings on your TV .
Auto 2.2 and 1.4
On one box no ausion over HDMI unless i set tv to 1.4 .
Key is what channels you actually want .0 -

I have the Roku one, but for OP, does the Now one also enable Netflix / Amazon Prime and whatever may follow?
Only asking just in case OP later wants to expand and finds it won't. .

Doesn't work either ways - Now TV can't be loaded onto a Fire Stick or Amazon device and Amazon can't be loaded on Now TV. Netflix is available on both though.0

You might have to tell your Mac to use the HDMI as the sound device in settings . I'm not an Apple user, but had the same problem on a laptop0
