From what I can see, Smarty is actually owned by Three (similar to the O2/GiffGaff setup) so very unlikely to close so a safe bet.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

They're actually separate companies with the same owner (who also own Superdrug and Savers). But I agree they appear a safe bet.

Looking like smarty is the best route for me from my previous £5 deal, of course each person will need to look into this as here isn't a one size fits all.

Shame that it will cut the money going to the charities they collected for.

Anyone having trouble porting their number out? I'm switching to Plusnet and it's been four days and no port yet. Getting a bit concerned.

Not true, Smarty is simply a trading name of Three UK.
    Who’s who and what’s what
    1.1 When we say:
    (a) ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’, we mean Hutchison 3G UK Limited, trading as SMARTY

Have you queried it with Plusnet? They are the ones who should be in control of the port process.

Plusnet have just said to wait a bit longer. No reason given to why it's taking so long.

When did you give the PAC to Plusnet?
