From what I can see, Smarty is actually owned by Three (similar to the O2/GiffGaff setup) so very unlikely to close so a safe bet.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

Anyone having trouble porting their number out? I'm switching to Plusnet and it's been four days and no port yet. Getting a bit concerned.0

They're actually separate companies with the same owner (who also own Superdrug and Savers). But I agree they appear a safe bet.
Not true, Smarty is simply a trading name of Three UK.Who’s who and what’s what
1.1 When we say:
(a) ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’, we mean Hutchison 3G UK Limited, trading as SMARTY

Plusnet have just said to wait a bit longer. No reason given to why it's taking so long.0
