All,
I have been on VM for over 7 years and apart from the crap super hubs, its been ok. 100meg currently, looking to move to a new provider in new house, but all i can get is fibre product up to 80meg. I work from home quite a bit using a vpn. The current occupant is using BT. I was with BT before i moved into my current property. If you got past the overseas call centre they seem ok. Would like to hear some advice on when i can apply to take over the current occupants line and who would be the best provider, i was thinking of going to Zen, but their ratings on Thinkbroadband are not that great anymore.

If you work from home then don't cheap out. Go for either a business provider or a niche ISP.
I would suggest looking at AAISP. A small provider but excellent reputation.
You can compare ISPs at the following sites
