Is UC taxable income

Hello Everyone,

I wonder if someone would mind telling me whether Universal Credit is classed as 'Taxable Income'.

I have secured a part time job with the NHS and they would like to know whether I have been receiving 'Taxable Job Seekers Allowance' during this financial year (there was no mention of UC on their form).

I had been receiving Universal Credit for 6 months of this financial year (I signed off in September). I requested a tax rebate for the previous financial year from HMRC and did advise them I was on UC and previous to that had been on Carers Allowance) they didn't seem to think this was relevant to my tax rebate.

I haven't yet started job but have to complete these details and just would like to get them right.
