It has been so rainy here I haven't been out. I am currently cooking a lamb roast that I had as a treat in the freezer.

I did enjoy going out to my work social but not the huge cost and the lateness of the meal. It cost £30 (equivalent to a week of groceries) and all I had was a bit of chicken wings, salmon in spinach and a dessert which I gave away. I also spent £20 on drinks!!!! lol.

I have totally chilled today and done a bit of marking very slowly. I am v tired but grateful to have a job. The election result was awful for the place where I work as they will be making even more cutbacks for sure. Fingers crossed I am not going to be redundant but I can see my salary falling again in the summer.

It's my day off. I have trimmed the lavender in the garden.

In total the fleabay sales raised £20. Summer job have given me an additional £20 holiday pay. Great.

I spent £20 on food, with lots of whoopsies, I walked so 0 travel costs, did 10,000 steps in the rain! lol.

Then I slept and wrote a report for work. Two working days to go for hols. Hurrah.I have £40 cash and am trying not to touch the extra in my account from my bank switch.

Ooooh, that's reminded me, I need to trim our lavender as well, we've been meaning to do it for ages and once I finish on Thursday afternoon, I'll have all the time in the world ;):):)

Not long to go, thank goodness!
  • Lamb roast sounds yum. Gardening in the rain lol. Great whoopsies

I am sorry to hear about further cut backs at work :(

Hurrah for holidays which have just begun. We had a meeting day today and I had to sit with the plastics in my office. They act like they are so smart but there is nothing there. Today they were boasting about how overdrawn they were and talking about their pension plans. OMG I always thought that they were fur coat and no knickers and they are!!!!

I wont see them for a whole two weeks soooooo happy. I will meet up with some of the nice people from work though during the hols. I have a cold so wont be going out tomorrow. Instead I am going to start some laundry in a bit and then have a nice sleep. Hurrah for the hols.

I have £15 cash (after taxi fares and one present) and some money in my account that I do not want to spend. Let's see if I can avoid spending it.

I have a cold but it will be so nice just to chill at home. I am hoping to do some tidying tomorrow and maybe some work.

  • I've also broken up for two weeks and the best feeling is the break from some of the people I work with, although they probably feel the same about me :)

Hope you have a rest and get over your cold soon, sw, so that you can enjoy your hols.
