Leaving Virgin Mobile

I apologize in advance for being clueless about the following issue:
I still own an old Nokia and use Virgin Mobile Pay As You Go.
They have recently increased their prices from 10p a text to £2 a text,
This is too much for me.
I would like to change to Three network.
How do I do that?
Can I keep the same old phone and number?
Thank you very much to those who can guide me. Thank you.

Requset a PAC and give it to the new network within 30 days. You will lose any existing credit so you may as well wait until that's used up.0

But Three network does not operate at all on 2G (in UK), which is probably the only capability of your old Nokia. Three use only 3G and 4G, so you should look at other providers.
You may be able to obtain an O2 Classic PAYG SIM on eBay or Amazon etc, they no longer offer it direct, rates the same as Three PAYG.Evolution, not revolution0 -

The below article should cover what your options are:

You can claim back any unused credit by phoning Virgin Mobile customer services.
To do this, I think you need a Virgin Mobile account and also a credit card/debit card to which they can then credit your unused balance to.
There is a time limit to do this though - the above article states 90 days after they switch over your tariff, which I think was the 18th of November. Either way, do it sooner than later.0 -
