Nintendo Switch - buying new 29th Oct 19 at 12:46 PM
Iím not sure this is a technical issue but...

I was looking online for a new Nintendo Switch and came across the site called Techno Drone. (I donít think I can paste the link in here, can I?)

They have them for Ä209 which does seem cheap. They say thereís a 2 year warrantee too and free delivery.

    Is this a scam?

Their domain was registered 02-Aug-2019, and they have no reviews.

    I'd buy elsewhere.

Payment is taken through a company called Payline. Seems to be a French merchant provider.

Can't comment on the particular merchant, but I personally would be wary of how returns/warranty is provided by a non-established e-tailer. Given the fact that you will spend £100s on games, saving £50 on the console itself, doesn't really warrants the risk in this case.

Also be aware that Nintendo released 2.gen Switch around September and although the main advantage is around battery life, you might still want to look for a gen.2 specifically. If these are gen.1s that could explain the low price

I’ve seen some offers on Nintendo’s own website that include bundles. They seem to include a 2 year guarantee, which is excellent.

The description of the consoles has the following wording:-
This model includes battery life of approximately 4.5 - 9 hours. The battery life will depend on the games you play. Model number: HAC-001(-01) (product serial number begins with “XKW”).

Strangely it doesn’t state these are the newest model with improved battery life?

    Any views welcome.

    Thanks.

There is a thread discussing this company running on hotdeals. I'd be very wary about placing any orders.
