Baby steps to mortgage freedom for beanielou. 4th Nov 14 at 1:19 PM
My first thread on the MFW board!!
My mortgage has 6 & 1/2 years left to run.
My income seems to decrease more & more & it becomes more & and more of a challange to pay my hefty(to me) mortgage.
I have managed an overpayment last month as I got some £££'s unexpectedly.
My biggest fear is not being able to pay my mortgage & loosing my home.
So I have decided that baby steps are the way forward~even a fiver or a tenner overpaid in a month is better than nothing.

Sounds like you’ve had a productive weekend Beanie. Good that you’ve given thought to a scooter again. Just a thought - do you have any National Trust places nearby (or Scottish equivalent) I know hey hire scooters to get around the grounds...you could try it for a while.

Have finally caught up on some overdue charity paperwork.
Not nearly as bad as I thought!
90% of the way there now.

My Aunt has a scooter. She's had it about a year but is still a bit unsure about it. My cousin and her husband are trying to encourage her to use it more. My Uncle says he likes it so much he's going to get one but he wants a higher spec one so that it goes faster
    Loan (£7,500) current balance: £6,798.44
    IO Mortgage current balance: £87,630

Apparently scooters usually have a limiter fitted to them (who knew?) - well the friends we were with yesterday knew about this as the father of one of them had the local car repair shop remove the one from his scooter so that it was effectively turbo-charged - last seen overtaking his son at 20mph on a footpath...
MFIT T5 target to clear our mortgage completely (£59,998) Q1 £26,828 or 44.71% paid - Mortgage Free Wannabes 2019 #37 £29,215.99 after May
    Save £12k in 2019 - #68 target is £7k £4,998.99 or 71.41% after May
OS Grocery Challenge 2019 target is £3k - 36.16% spent so far, after May

Afternoon Beanie Sounds like you had a lovely weekend. Hope your finger is well on the way to getting better. Great to read you talking about the scooter again, you'd gone a bit quiet on that front so it's good to know you're still planning to get one. xx
