I've just placed 3 separate orders from Donald Russell online Butchers, for delivery on May, June, July.

Delivery is normally free only with purchases over £80 but every now and then they offer free delivery on all purchases.

The mince is superb and great value at this price. I find a lot of their meat etc, terribly expensive so I can only buy it when there's an offer on.
I like to spread the orders out over several months, 1 of the pheasants the pork pot roast and Tafelspitz will be used when they are delivered, and were bought as 'Treats' from the 3rd purse.

The remaining Pheasant and mince will top up my freezer, the mince was purchased from the 2nd Purse. If you charge yourself full price for this thats £22 for your 2nd purse. This was one of the first items I bought from DR and I don't buy any other mince now.

If you want to try DR, with the free delivery, you will need to do it soon as they change it all the time. If you want to place separate orders you will have to quit the page and return for each separate order.

I'd like to be in too please. I haven't done a challenge in AAAGGGEEES.

I read Motherships posts just before Christmas. I didnt really understand how it works but it inspired me to something else. In our budget my main "confusing money" is in money for DS1's school( £30 a mont-but Id like to save what I dont use for those busy months.),and DS2's nappies and formula (with the leftovers from the £60 budget being saved). Also I gave birth to DD1 two week ago so I was going to allow her the same budget-although Ill be saving her "formula money" as she has taken to the breast-Im quite thrilled with that as the boys wouldnt latch.

For the purses I bought 3 of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260454510512?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
and "bound" them with 2 of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290600167816?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

My plan is to draw that cash as soon as I get paid and physically putting the cash in the relevant purse. And obviously as it builds up Ill then move it to savings-so I've just ordered another two to add to my "book" for second and third purse.

ETA: Im going to start with £10 and my dream fund is for a chest freezer. Where we live now doesnt have the space for one, but we are moving in June as our lease expires-and one of my criteria in our house hunt is "where will a chest freezer go". I really want to start bulk buying meat and batch cooking-but I dont have the space

Try going straight into the website and type in the search box, there's a few different mince offers, but persevere its worth it. Its a good place to start if you've not ordered from them before.

I meant to say in my last post DONT order their meal packs, they are a waste of money. I ONLY buy their offers, I've had most of their goods, and I usually place a few orders every three months or so , and ONLY when there's a free delivery promotion, the way I see it not paying for that feeds us for 2 days. And spreading the deliveries is using their freezers until I have space in my own, but I still get the goods at a price I can afford. I go through Quidco too and save up that money for 'Treats' maybe a steak selection. I pay the 2nd Purse £3 for every DR pack I use even if its a more expensive cut.

I've decided to put the whole balance of my 3rd purse into my savings account £531 I had £890 last week but I bought a new washing machine @ £329. I would like to buy a bigger fridge freezer, around £300.
I've been doing the 2nd + 3rd Purse for many years, and the stockpile is high. And the purses full, so emptying one and taking my cushion away, wont bring us all to the same level, but it will give me something to work towards.

I bought DR mince last night @ £22 leaving £78 in the 2nd Purse, at the end of Jan when I add my £10 for the month and what I owe the purse £32 I will have £120 in my 2nd Purse, I will transfer £20 of that to the 3rd Purse which will go towards my fridge freezer. leaving £100 for bargains.

When I first started I bought, Tea, Coffee, Sugar, soap powder, tinned stuff, soap, shampoo, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, toothbrushes toothpaste etc. All things I used regularly. I started out with £10 per month, if you can afford more you will stock your wee shop quicker. Some weeks you wont find any bargains, then like busses they all come at once. You be ready to pounce when they do.

I will list EVERYTHING I buy and from where, I will also post any good finds. If we all do the same we are sure to reach our goals quicker.
I go to all the supermarkets when they have something Im after, then buy ONLY that + any whoopsies I find, It was hard at first but much easier now.:j:j:j

I have set up little lists on my phone note section with a different note for all the supermarkets near me - as I hear of something on offer I have started putting it in the right note section then when I am out and about if near the supermarket I can easily pop in without making a separate trip there and can easily see if there is something on offer there. This olde noggin is not so good at remembering and I often used to write lists but then leave them at home and try to remember when I got there.
