Sooo close to your next target :) x

I know :) I plan to make a £50 payment to the loan with my monthly wage as well as the £25 usual payment to cc2. I think my next target will be under £5450 by the end of May.

Spends for today are £8.64 on toiletries and £17.42 on toothbrush heads. I managed to redeem £7.50 in Amazon vouchers today from surveys. Even after buying the toothbrush heads, I have almost £60 worth of vouchers for Christmas.

I have just phoned for my blood test results to be told that I would have to make a doctor's appointment to discuss the results. I have been given an appointment on Tuesday. I'm now slightly worried as usually it's impossible to get an appointment unless you wait at least 2 weeks. Ah well no point in stressing about it until I've been for the appointment. Not looking forward to telling OH though as he is a worrier and always thinks worst case scenario.

I did my 5k today, managed to run the whole thing :j so really pleased with myself. Have been a bit naughty this evening though and spent the money that OH gave me on a meal out for the both of us. It was lovely and it's been ages since we went out or in fact did anything together :o so it was really great. Means I will really need to knuckle down over the next few weeks to get the money saved for the electricity bill though.

Went to the gym this morning and to the supermarket, spent £11.58 so well underbudget there. Should hopefully get a few NSDs this week.

A day off today. It's been a NSD and I've been to the gym. I went up to the doctors this morning to get the results of the blood tests, not coeliac thankfully but the tests flagged up low iron levels so I need to up my intake of red meat and green veg. OH is already dreaming of steak for tea most nights :rotfl:

I checked my bank account this morning and had a spare £1.36 so have moved that over to the emergency fund. Looking forward to payday tomorrow to make an additional payment to the loan.

    April to do list
    - emergency fund Now £55.81
    - wedding savings £35
    - electricity bill will be £95 once I add the money tomorrow

    May to do list

Payday :j so I've made all my payments taking me to 44.9% paid. I should hit 50% sometime in June which is very exciting. I'll update my signature later or tomorrow with Mays targets.

I received a letter today from the bank saying thanks for your loan overpayment, it has saved you £3.16 in interest. Fab :D. I have had a few letters now so I phoned the bank to see if I could stop them sending out letters every time I make an overpayment. However, it is apparently the law so I will just have to resign myself to getting a letter from them every week. It's such a waste of paper but I suppose I can then see how much interest I save over the course of the loan.

I've arranged to meet a friend in the gym tomorrow after work, being social for no extra cost is :D. I'm meeting some friends for drinks next week but will try to keep costs to a minimum as I really need to get money saved for the electricity bill/weekend away with OH/hen weekend/wedding. Argh so much to save for!

I know I say it every time but once this electricity bill is paid, I must start putting by money every week towards it. I really wouldn't miss £10 a week and it would mean I wasn't stressing about it in 3 months time.

Hi Tara. Sorry I've not been around for a while, we've had no internet connection since moving in to our new house. Glad to hear you're still doing fab on the MSE front.

    You're doing fab.

Did the doctor give you a clue why your iron levels were down ? That can hide coeliac (my ds is coeliac and was undiagnosed for years)

Thanks dawnybabes. No I didn't actually think to ask. I just assumed that it was related to my IBS. I'll be back at the doctors in the next month or so to discuss whether the new tablets are having any effect so will query it then.

I've updated my signature with Mays targets. Grocery target went really well in April and wasn't far off for gym and NSDs.

I've had a huge argument with OH tonight as he has managed to run up a phone bill of over £150 :eek: he has been buying things for some game on go*gle play and didn't realise how much it would end up costing. So for the next couple of weeks he isn't going to give me any money while he gets the money together for it. I've taken off the pay from phone option on go*gle play so that it won't happen again. So annoyed at him.

    Payday tomorrow - £129.52
    - £18 weekly savings
    - £10 lovefilm
    - £30 food
    - £20 drinks with the girls
    - £11.52
    - £40 electricity bill
