Where what you will be comfortable in. Are you going to be the proud mother in lots of graduation photos or the proud mother looking on?
For me it’s dressing as if you are going to a family meal for a special occasion.... smart jeans will show you are a trendy Mummy........As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

My mother would disown me if I wore jeans.

It can be a lot of waiting around so in this weather I think trousers might be a winner. Always think shoes are not so prominent with trousers as a dress.
