    Morning,

Sun is out here and did come out yesterday too but not scorching.
Was pleasant though and we got grass cut and some weeding done .
DD and DS2 and their partners are having a lovely time in Kos.

Hope your mum enjoys Rome mummy2. My mum was always difficult to take anywhere too - always something wrong!

I have bedding out and more weeding to do. Supposed to rain next 2 days so keep the cleaning and ironing until then.
Hope everyone has a lovely day.

    :hello: Good morning everyone

I hope you're all in fine fettle! My goodness - yesterday was
the warmest bank holiday Monday since records began -
    temperatures hitting nearly 29 degrees!

    vil-soleil.gif

It was far too hot to do anything in the garden and like you
leanfun, I don't do sunbathing, much prefer a lovely shady
spot! It's going to be another warm day today ventilo.gif but
thankfully tomorrow will be a tad cooler.

mummy2, hope you have a lovely break in Rome with your
mum next week. It will be a wonderful 60th birthday treat
    for her. :T

Sounds as if you had a busy time yesterday out gardening

    It's 'Helston Flora Day' today :D ......

    About

Helston, the Cornish market town, where for hundreds of years,
the townsfolk have celebrated and enjoyed the wonderful tradition
    that is FLORA DAY.

This ancient festival is usually held on May 8th, unless that date
falls on a Sunday or Monday, in which case the previous Saturday
    is taken.

It is a Spring festival to celebrate the end of winter and mark the
arrival of the new vitality and fertility with the trees and flowers
bursting into life. The houses and shops of the town are decorated
with greenery and floral arrangements to express the spirit of
    renewal.

When the big bass drum strikes the first beat of the dance at
seven in the morning, the spirit of the day is stirred and the
celebrations commence. Some eighty couples dance through the
streets, entering selected houses and shops to drive out the
darkness of winter and bring in the light of spring.

The colourful Pageant, known as Hal an Tow, tells the history of
Helston with the participating characters singing about the
challenge of the Spanish Armada, the English patron saint, St.
George and the fight between St Michael and the devil.

The commentary is brilliant! :T :p

Have a lovely and lucky day all and please take care whatever
    your plans.

Morning peeps. Looking good outside this morning. Hopefully we will have another nice day here. Have to go out in the afternoon so DIL is coming down to give me a hand. Took me an age to get washed and dressed this morning. A much needed cuppa is now on the cards so off to put kettle on. Hope you are all well.

Morning,it's a bit cooler today thank goodness. Like many i couldn't garden yesterday too hot for me. I am in and out all day driving son to his hobby shop then his GF to the dockyard for her voluntary job boat building. Then going to tip some rubbish. Didn't bother going over the weekend as they get too busy and the lines of cars waiting to get in is sooooo long it's best to wait till most people have gone back to work.Hope you all have a lucky week.

    Morning,

Really bad mist here again and when it goes rain is coming in so will get on with household jobs today. Did more gardening yesterday and woke up feeling sore. Have used the Tens machine and ok now.
Will need to get some shopping and maybe visit my parents too.
Hope everyone has a nice day and enjoys their sunshine.

Morning again. It has got very dark and overcast here. Looks like we are going to have a down pour. Hope it does not last long. Well done on getting garden started shiels. Neighbour is looking after my tubs so they are looking well. Will have to get some bedding plants shortly as ground is looking a bit bare.
