New dog walking shoes arrived today. Fab shoes, waterproof & great for price £22.50. Perhaps you should get some for work SW lol.

Went to lunch with friend we had 3 course Chinese £6.90. Spent £4 in poundland on chocolate, sewing needles, deodorant & bin liners.

Came home and took puppy dog for a swim in the sea & walk on common with DS's gf as DS at work. Dog had a great time splashing around then rolling on grass to dry off.

I have enough food to last until next week so shouldn't need to do any shopping till Tuesday.

I was joking about the waterproof trainers SW, after you mentioned going to work in your sandals & the rain. :D

Not much chance of rain this weekend. Its going to be scorching, too hot for me and puppy dog. Have filled up her paddling pool and she's been hopping in and out all afternoon. Too hot to walk her until later about 7.30pm.

Need to have a no-spend bank holiday if possible ! I have updated my signature and the end is in sight for my car loan and 0% credit card. Don't want to "wish my life away" but can't wait to pay them off.

Have a list of jobs for the weekend.

Hoover dog carpet & kitchen tiled floor
    Cut grass
wash ceiling fan blades in dog room
    wash my work clothes
    wash towels
    wash my bedding
    wash dog towels

Feel exhausted today. Have just been lazing around this afternoon snoozing :o I have some chicken for tea and need to use up some wrinkly peppers and courgettes so I will make fajitas later. I have wraps and sour cream. DS & his gf have gone to work till 2am.

I completely understand about the heat. Good luck with housework tomorrow. I would just put my feet up and rest with a fan and an ice cold drink. lol.

Feeling very melancholic today :( will try and think of some positives.

Walked puppy dog 8-9am lovely sunny morning with cool breeze. Picked a nice juicy apple off one of the trees and shared it with puppy dog.

Fancied a fry up so I grilled half a gammon steak. I microwaved some new potatoes & sliced then fried them and finished off with a fried egg using the last of my eggs. Nom nom

Have been looking at my finances and once I have paid off my car and 0% credit card I will have £210 extra per month. I am going to put £200 a month into my emergency fund up to £1000. I don't want to get used to spending that money and want to save to downsize / get a new car / reduce my hours at work. My health is not getting any better and is likely to get worse so I need some savings to give me some options. I currently work 30 hours a week over 5 days and that is enough of a struggle. I can't see me maintaining that until age 68 when my state pension is due. If I can save £200 a month for 5 years that will be £12000. That will take me up to age 56/57. Obviously something could happen or change in the meantime but this is my long term plan at the moment. Hopefully my car will keep going that long. I have a car fund for maintenance / repairs / service / mot of £50 a month.

Towels are just finishing in the machine. I don't think they will take long to dry so once I've hung them out I will wash my work clothes.

Have just realised I have already budgeted £100 to emergency fund, so once debts are paid and emergency fund is up to £1000 that's £300 to savings over 5 years that's £18000. !!:T

Took puppy dog over to the field last night for a run and chase her ball. Then did same again early this morning to avoid the heat.

Bedding washed & hung out. Shouldn't take long to dry. Dog towels are on now. Walked to co-op for milk, got grapes reduced to £1 and mini malt loaves £1 for work breakfasts, then blew it and bought carp :o Crisps £1, choc brownies £1, 4x ripple bars £1, pack of twirls £1.

Have also cut grass before hanging washing. Puppy dog has just been out and rolled on it :rotfl: then jumped in her paddling pool which I washed out and refilled. She's flaked out in front of the fan now and I am joining her :p

Today I am using up remaining half of gammon steak. I have some new potatoes boiling which I will then cool and add onion & mayo for potato salad, with some of remaining tomatoes, cucumber and tinned sweetcorn.
