Your designated purposes of credit cards (for those who have 2)

Options
Heya. For those of you here with two credit cards, just wondering if you have a designated purpose for each? I have two, one all paid off and the other with a balance on (a small one that will soon be paid off). It's been a long time since the first one has actually been paid off in full and I kinda like it that way! And going forward, will be aiming to pay my credit card/s off in full each month. Just thinking of ways I could effectively use the card/s in future, now they're all (minus one but soon to be) up to date, so was interested to see how others manage theirs and for what purposes? Or if anyone uses theirs as their main spending card?

One for spending, paid off in full every month.
    One as a backup.

Or, mix purchases between the two, but always pay in full each month

Old bank CC as it gives a small cashback amount (0.25%) and had it for 17 or 18 years - main purchases
Nectar Sainsbury's one - supermarket and fuel from BP/Sainsbury's
Barclaycard - BT one with a balance paid down monthly, for big purchases to spread the cost, had it 3-4 years and done a couple of big BTs

One that gives rewards, for daily spending, paid off in full every month.
Three others, with no fees for foreign transactions, that I use when abroad (one with highest limit for hotels, one for rental car and gas, one for all other spending)

Cashback Amex for as much as we possibly can - 1% CB
Partnership CC for where they won't take Amex - 1% or 0.5% CB
Both paid off in full each month.

various 0% BT/MT cards - min payment only till the deals run out

I might need to investigate one for foreign spending as I have a trip coming up

Cashback Amex for as much spending as possible.

Halifax Clarity Mastercard for anywhere that doesn't take Amex plus all foreign spending.

Nationwide Visa as a backup for foreign spending or for anywhere that requires a Visa card eg World Cup tickets because they're sponsored by Visa so do not accept Mastercard for ticket purchases.
