  • Hi all,
I'll allocate numbers for the 2020 challenge around the 10th Jan, as this should give those taking part in the 2019 challenge time to sign up if they want to keep the same number in 2020.

Good luck with your 1%s and feel free to start listing your percentages met even if you haven't received a number yet. I will catch up :).

I'd like to take part in the 1% challenge. My 1% is £115. Hoping for 30% by end of next year. However I am currently unemployed. I'm a freelancer who usually gets jobs really quickly, so I'm hoping when the companies are back from Christmas something will come my way quickly (it usually does). I'm also hoping for a promotion/pay rise for my next job, if that's the case I'll up my percentage!

My usual extra income are Quidco - from booking work related stuff mostly, transcribing, ebaying and I'm also trying to sell photos on stock websites. Although I've had no success yet as I don't have many up. I'm trying to make the most of my unemployment by editing the photos I have to upload them!
  • I'd like to join please. My debt is £1800, so 1% is £18. What a brilliant idea to break it down.
I have started by claiming £22.06 from my TCB account, so that will be my first 1% paid back, plus a bit towards the next.
I have lots of stuff to ebay so that's my next plan, I've tried advertising on free selling sites but don't get much interest.
Mum to 2 DSs, dog mum, wife full-time worker.
Keen to live a healthly lifestyle and save money
  • I'm in again for 2020 please AW - I need to look through my finances properly today and choose a goal but I'll report back in with what my 1% is - I was number 14 last year (which unfortunately ended up being a very expensive year)

I'd love to carry on please. 1% is £36.42. I was number 63 but don't mind if it gets changed. I made some good progress last year, long may it continue. Good luck everyone and a happy new year.
    Thanks
    mortgage £800 overpayment 2022. £600/£2400 2023 🙂 savings £1853/£1800 😊
  • I like this idea. My 1% is a daunting £294.
  • I have used steps like this before for goals, and so would love to join.
    My 1% is £330
I have already paid off 1% with minimum payments to credit cards and paying off the balance of an item I bought with 0% finance over 12 months. Another 1% will go out of my account tomorrow to my car loan.
I will aim to get 25% paid off by the end of this year

    True LBM, December 2019 = £32934. Current Debt = £12762. 1% Challenge = 61.1%. #51 3-6 Month EF Challenge = £1200/£6000

  • I would love to join, this is a brilliant idea. My 1% is £140
  • Tryintodoitright - 1% is £5

I've a main debt (originally 24k) that will almost be completely cleared by June this year (which I have been throwing literally every penny I have at it for the past 2 years). So I've barely had a penny spare.
We hope to go to our favourite festival in June so I want to have the spending money put aside for it whilst not adding any further to the debt. £500 is the target! :j
